Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has finally launched the Honda Activa 6G Premium Edition scooter in India at Rs 75,400 and it is based on the top-end DLX variant of the Honda Activa 6G scooter, which is priced at Rs 74,400.

According to Honda, the new Honda Activa 6G Premium Edition is available in 3 different colours. This includes Mat Marshal, Mat Sangria, & Mat Pearl. Out of all these colours, the ‘Green' shade with gold accents really stands out from the crowd in a pleasing way and looks very premium as well.
Apart from that, the Honda Activa 6G Premium Edition scooter gets gold-coloured inserts at the front, gold-coloured front and rear wheels, and completing the gold theme is the set of "Activa Premium Edition" badges on the sides.
Other than this, the Honda Activa 6G Premium Edition scooter gets brown seats and brown-coloured plastic panels. All these changes make the Honda Activa 6G Premium Edition scooter look a bit more premium than the standard model.
Other than this, Honda has not made any more changes to the scooter. This means the Honda Activa 6G Premium Edition scooter continues to be mechanically identical to the standard Honda Activa 6G scooter.
This means the Honda Activa 6G Premium Edition scooter is powered by the same 109.57cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, BS6 compliant engine that powers the standard iteration of the Honda Activa 6G scooter. This engine produces a peak power of 7.68bhp at 8,000rpm, and 8.84Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm.
It is also worth mentioning that, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has not added any features to the Honda Activa 6G Premium Edition scooter. It still continues to use the semi-digital instrument console with a big analogue speedometer and uses halogen bulbs for all lights except the headlight.
Being a special edition scooter, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India could have offered the Honda Activa 6G Premium Edition scooter with a few additional features such as LED turn indicators, LED tail lamps, a USB charging port at the front, and a front disc brake setup.
However, the price difference of Rs 1,000 more than justifies the changes made in the new Honda Activa 6G Premium Edition.
That being said, with the festive season fast approaching, the launch of the Honda Activa 6G Premium Edition scooter will play a huge role in the overall sales figure of the company in India. This is because the launch of the Honda Activa 6G Premium Edition scooter will attract many prospective buyers to the showroom and these buyers can be easily converted into customers.
Thoughts About Upcoming New Honda Activa 6G Premium Edition
The Honda Activa 6G is currently the best-selling scooter in India with more than 1.5 lakh scooters sold every month on an average. With the festive season soon approaching, the launch of the Honda Activa 6G Premium Edition has been perfectly timed to attract more customers to the dealerships to further capitalise on the sales push achieved during the festive season in India.
