Hero Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition Debuts
The Hero Xpulse 200 4V is a more powerful and more refined version of the Hero Xpulse 200. As the name suggests, the Hero Xpulse 200 4V uses a 4-valve engine instead of the standard 2-valve setup found in the Hero Xpulse 200.
Earlier, Hero MotoCorp had launched the ‘Rally Kit' for the Hero Xpulse 200 motorcycle and this kit has been priced at Rs 38,000. This kit adds a few extra bits to make the motorcycle far more off-road-worthy.
Hero MotoCorp unveiled the Hero Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition. The modifications made to the motorcycle will not only improve its off-road performance, but it will also increase the desirability factor among potential customers in India.
Ahead of the launch of Hero Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition, Hero MotoCorp has officially unveiled the motorcycle in the presence of Mr CS Santosh.
Earlier, the type-approval certificate of the Hero Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition was leaked online and revealed various information regarding the motorcycle. According to the leaked documents, the upcoming Hero Xpulse 200 4V measures 2,255mm long, 850mm wide, 1,308mm tall and sports a wheelbase of 1,427mm.
In comparison, the Hero Xpulse with the Rally Kit is 2,243mm long, 850mm wide, 1,320mm tall and has a wheelbase of 1,320mm. This makes the Hero Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition 12mm longer, 12mm shorter and also sports a wheelbase 47mm longer than the standard version.
When launched, we expect the Hero Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition to be the new range-topping variant in the Hero Xpulse range of motorcycles.
While the Rally Kit includes upgrades such as rally-tuned suspension at both front and back, a flat and tall rally-style bench seat, Maxxis off-road tyres, handlebar risers, a longer side stand and an extended gear pedal, the Hero Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition is expected to come with a longer swingarm in addition to all the above features except the Maxxis off-road tyres.
In terms of hardware, the Hero Xpulse 200 4V comes features numerous upgrades compared to the standard Xpulse 200. This includes changes such as a 7-fin oil cooler for better heat management and an updated transmission with optimised gear ratios that suit the characteristics of the new engine.
Other changes include new LED headlights for better visibility at night and a fully digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. The latter adds features such as Turn-by-Turn navigation, a gear position indicator, Eco Mode, and two Trip meters. and a single-channel ABS.
At present, the new Hero Xpulse 200 4V is priced at Rs 1.32 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it one of the most affordable adventure touring motorcycles in the country.

Hero MotoCorp will soon launch the Hero Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition in India. With the launch of this motorcycle, Hero MotoCorp is planning to penetrate deeper into the adventure motorcycle segment in India.
