Hero Passion XTEC TVC Out Now - Digital Instrument Cluster, Bluetooth Connectivity, & More
The official TVC for the new Hero Passion XTEC is out now and it seems like Hero MotorCorp is looking forward to further improving its market share in the Indian commuter segment with the launch of this new motorcycle.
Moreover, with the launch of Hero Passion XTEC, the company has expanded its passion lineup of motorcycles in the country.
At present, the newly introduced Hero Passion XTEC is available in two variants - Disc and Drum. The variant equipped with the drum brakes is priced at Rs 74,590 (ex-showroom, India), whereas the variant equipped with the disc brake at the front is priced at Rs 78,900 (ex-showroom, India).
Other motorcycles in the 'XTEC' range includes Hero Splendor+ XTEC, Hero Glamour XTEC, Hero Pleasure + XTEC, and Hero Destini XTEC. Moreover, all these vehicles have been well received in the Indian automobile market.
The 30-second TVC video of the Hero Passion XTEC highlights key features of the motorcycle which include features such as projector LED headlamps, horizontal 'H' shaped LED DRLs, and a fully digital instrument display.
According to Hero MotoCorp, the new projector LED headlamp unit in the Hero passion XTEC offers best-in-segment headlamp brightness and its beam reaches 12 per cent farther than the halogen headlamps.
It is also worth mentioning that the TVC of the Hero Passion XTEC specifically highlights the brightness of the LED headlamp unit.
From the TVC, the Hero passion XTEC features very attractive-looking body graphics, a sleek headlamp cowl that neatly gels with the rest of the design and the digital instrument cluster features a very cool-looking blue backlight.
In terms of powertrain, the Hero Passion XTEC borrows its powerplant from the Hero Passion Pro. This 113cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine produces 9bhp of peak power at 7,500rpm and 9.72Nm of peak torque at relatively low 5,000rpm. However, this engine is married to a 4-speed gearbox.
Though the motorcycle uses a very 90's 4-speed gearbox, Hero MotoCorp has equipped the Hero Passion XTEC with the 'i3s' start-stop system for improved fuel efficiency. This system improves fuel efficiency by reducing the idle time of the motorcycle.
The new Hero Passion XTEC motorcycle comes with 30mm front forks and dual shocks at the rear. Moreover, the disc variant uses a large 240mm disc at the front for descent stopping power.
The newly introduced Hero Passion XTEC will compete against the likes of motorcycles such as Bajaj Platina 110, TVS Radeon, Honda Livo, TVS Star City and Hero MotoCorp's own Hero Splendor+ XTEC.
Thoughts About Hero Passion XTEC
The Hero Passion XTEC offers everything a daily commuter will need with his motorcycle and it also offers more features such as a digital instrument display, powerful LED projector headlamps and a stylish exterior. Overall, the motorcycle looks a bit more premium than the Splendor XTEC.
