Bajaj Pulsar 250 Twins Become The Fastest 250cc Segment Motorcycle To Reach 10K Sales Milestone
Bajaj has announced that the company has sold more than 10,000 units of its newly launched Bajaj Pulsar 250 range of motorcycles. This makes the motorcycle the fastest 250cc segment motorcycle to reach the 10k sales milestone.
Back in October 2021, Bajaj introduced two new motorcycles in the 250cc segment in India. These motorcycles came under the Pulsar model range and came with aggressive introductory pricing.
The two new models were named 'Pulsar N250' and 'Pulsar F250', where the Pulsar N250 is a naked streetfighter motorcycle like the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, whereas the Pulsar F250 is a semi-faired motorcycle like the Bajaj Pulsar 220F.
When launched, the Bajaj Pulsar N250 came with a price tag of Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom, India), whereas the semi-fairing version was priced at almost Rs 2,000 more. However, thanks to rising inputs costs, the Pulsar N250 now costs Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom, India), whereas the Pulsar F250 now costs Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Mr Sarang Kanade, President of Motorcycle Business Bajaj Auto, said, "The all-new Pulsar 250 has been conceptualised with the single-minded purpose of injecting 'Unadulterated Thrill' into everyday riding. We are very pleased with the response from young riders across the country, who love the new-age form. We are conducting a series of Thrill-ology rides, passing through the length & breadth of India showcasing how the Pulsar 250 is the perfect entry sport bike in Indian conditions; and the response across all locations has been overwhelming. This sales milestone underlines our customers' trust in Pulsar and the increasing demand for sports motorcycles due to high aspirations and changing lifestyles."
Recently, Bajaj introduced a new exterior colour to the Pulsar F250 motorcycle. The new shade of Blue colour is of darker shade that is slightly different to the existing blue shade used in other Bajaj motorcycles such as the Pulsar NS125, Pulsar 220F, Pulsar NS200, Pulsar 150, Platina 110ES, and CT100.
Apart from that, the Bajaj 250 twins came with a set of features such as LED projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, LED DRLs, front and rear disc brakes, etc.
In addition to these feature list, the new Bajaj Pulsar 250 twins also get a more traditional analogue tachometer. However, the unit does house a digital speedometer, trip meter, fuel efficiency indicator, service reminder, gear-position indicator, distance-to-empty fuel gauge, and a clock.
Since these motorcycles will also be used for mild touring, Bajaj has thoughtfully added a USB charging port as standard.
Powering the Bajaj Pulsar 250 twins is an all-new 249cc, single-cylinder, 2-valve, Oil-Cooled, SOHC engine. Despite being a SOHC unit, the engine still puts out a very healthy 23.5bhp of peak power at 8,750rpm and 21.5Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm.
Though the new Bajaj Pulsar 250 model range is recently introduced, the 250cc engine still comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. However, Bajaj has thoughtfully added a slipper clutch.
Braking duty on the Bajaj Pulsar 250 twins is carried out by a single 300mm disc brake at the front and a smaller 230mm disc brake at the rear. Though Bajaj does offer single-channel ABS units, Bajaj could have at least offered the dual-channel units as an optional extra.
Thoughts About The Bajaj Pulsar 250 Twins
The newly launched Bajaj Pulsar 250 twins offer very good value for money as both motorcycles offer more than a decent price to performance ratio. Moreover, both motorcycles offer decent riding position that is comfortable in cities and highways.
