Bajaj Dynamo Name Trademarked: Could Be A New Electric Two-Wheeler From Bajaj
The Bajaj Dynamo name has been trademarked by Bajaj Auto. At the moment, it is unclear if the Dynamo name has been trademarked for an upcoming two-wheeler or three-wheeler. However, it joins the list of few names that were trademarked in recent weeks and more details are awaited at the moment.
Bajaj Auto is one of the largest two-wheeler manufacturers in the Indian market. The company was formed in 1945 and got a license to manufacture two-wheelers in 1959. Since then, Bajaj has produced several iconic motorcycles and scooters. Be it the Priya and Chetak scooters or the Pulsar range of motorcycles, Bajaj is one brand that has done a lot for the Indian two-wheeler market.
In the last few years though, the competition has more than just caught up. Several variants of the Pulsar will no longer cut it and Bajaj knows just as much. The brand does seem to be doing its best to launch new products and the number of trademarks it filed in recent times shows what the brand is looking at.
Some of the more recently filed trademarks include the Bajaj Pulsar Elan, Pulsar Elganz, Bajaj Blade and Bajaj Twinner. Now, the Bajaj Dynamo joins this list that evokes curiosity. As usual, not a lot of information is available about these models. The trademark document reveals that it could either be a two-wheeler or a three-wheeler.
Bajaj holds a very strong position in the three-wheeler segment and launching more than one new product in the three-wheeler segment doesn't really make any sense. So, it is quite obvious that these are two-wheelers. The Pulsar Elan and Pulsar Elganz will surely be motorcycles powered by a petrol engine.
The same can't be said of the Bajaj Blade, Twinner and Dynamo. At this point in time, we cannot confirm if they are motorcycles or scooters and if they are powered by petrol or electricity.
Bajaj currently retails only one electric scooter. The Bajaj Chetak electric is doing reasonably well in the market and is currently one of the best electric scooters one can buy. However, Bajaj might be attempting to expand its EV range and the Dynamo seems like the perfect name for an electric vehicle. This, however, is only speculation right now and we await more details regarding the same.
Those looking for a new Bajaj product certainly have a lot to look forward to because the much-awaited Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle is underway too.
Thoughts On Bajaj Dynamo Name Being Trademarked
Trademarking a name doesn't guarantee it would go into production. However, it does give some hope to prospective buyers and those in the market wanting a new motorcycle or scooter. The Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle, Bajaj Blade, Bajaj Twinner, and now Bajaj Dynamo certainly give us a lot to look forward to.
