2022 Ducati V4, S, & SP2 Launched In India At Rs 26.49 Lakh
Italian superbike manufacturer Ducati has launched the 2022 iteration of the Panigale V4 superbike in India at Rs 26.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Along with this Ducati has also launched two more variants of the Ducati V4 motorcycle - Ducati Panigale V4 S, and Ducati Panigale V4 SP2.

Coming to the variants, the Ducati Panigale V4 S is the mid-spec variant and this model is priced at Rs 31.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). On the other hand, the range-topping Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 is priced at Rs 40.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
As part of the update, the Ducati Panigale V4 motorcycle and its variants have been refreshed with new graphics designed by Ducati Centro Stile which include black logos, a double fabric saddle, and a red tag on the black rims.
Overall, the design remains pretty much identical to the 2021 iteration of the superbike with its twin-pod headlights, muscular fuel tank, underbelly exhaust, and a single-sided swingarm. However, Ducati anoraks can spot the thinner winglets on the 2022 Ducati V4 Panigale superbike and these winglets are claimed to produce 27kg of downforce at 300km/h.
On the other hand, the top-spec 2022 Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 gets Winter Test Livery consisting of a matte carbon finish with red accents. Moreover, the motorcycle also gets a brushed aluminium fuel tank as well.
In addition to these, the 2022 Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 motorcycle also benefits from various weight-saving measures such as Marchesini forged aluminium wheels, carbon fibre wings, carbon fibre front fenders, STM-EVO SBK nine-disc dry clutch and a few more.
In terms of hardware, the Ducati Panigale V4 gets a 43mm fully-adjustable Showa BPF forks at the front and a fully-adjustable Sachs mono-shock at the rear. Whereas the more premium S and SP2 variants get electronically adjustable Ohlins-sourced front forks and rear mono-shock.
Other than this, engineers at Ducati have fettled with the powertrain of the motorcycle. Before getting into the details, the Ducati V4 motorcycle is now 1.5bhp more powerful and produces 100Nm of torque at just 6,000rpm from its 1,103cc V4 engine. This means the new Ducati V4 Panigale motorcycle now produces 215.5bhp of peak power at 13,000rpm and 123.6Nm of peak torque at 9,500rpm.
In addition to the change in the engine, engineers at Ducati have also lengthened the first and second gear by 11.6 per cent and 5.6 per cent, respectively. This has allowed the new calibrated Ducati Quick Shifter (DQS) to work better as well.
To further benefit from the increased peak horsepower, the sixth gear has also been lengthened to give a 5km/h higher top speed compared to the 2021 Ducati Panigale V4 motorcycle.
Thoughts About The 2022 Ducati Panigale V4, S, & SP2
The latest update makes the Ducati Panigale V4 and its variants even more capable and refined at the same time. Also, it is such updates that keep the Ducati at the pinnacle of the superbike segment.
