100 Units Of Suzuki Hayabusa Sold In One Hour — Second Batch Of Hayabusa Sold Out
The Suzuki Hayabusa sold out in just an hour. The latest iteration of Suzuki Hayabusa was launched in April, 2021, and the first batch sold out within a couple of days after the sale commenced.
Now, despite the ongoing pandemic, the second batch consisting of one hundred Suzuki Hayabusas sold out within an hour. This is a big milestone for a superbike in India.
The Suzuki Hayabusa is probably one of the most well-known and most-recognised superbikes in India. It all started with its appearance in the Bollywood movie 'Dhoom'. Ever since, the bike has gained quite a number of followers from the world's largest democracy. People love it for its iconic design, the sheer speed it offers and now, the advanced technologies it comes with.
The new Suzuki Hayabusa carries the same 'bulbous' design and style from its predecessor and it cannot be mistaken for anything other than a Hayabusa, thanks to its evolutionary design. However, each and every panel on the new Suzuki Hayabusa has been redesigned and reshaped to maximise the aerodynamic efficiency.
The most noticeable changes on the new Suzuki Hayabusa compared to its predecessor are the new rear-view mirrors, new all-LED headlights and turn indicators. Under the fuel-tank lies another change in form of the power unit.
Powering the new Hayabusa is a slightly reworked 1,340cc, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled inline-four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 187bhp at 9,700rpm and 150Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.
The engineers working at Suzuki have also put their effort into bringing the kerb weight down by 2 kgs, enabling the new Hayabusa to tip scales at 264 kgs. However, thanks to strict norms that mandate all motorcycles to be equipped with saree guard and number plate holder, the kerb weight jumps back to 266kgs.
Despite these changes, the top speed is still officially rated at 299 kmph. However, managing the speed now becomes a lot easier with the addition of a wide variety of electronic aids like the six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU), traction control, anti-lift control, engine braking management and many more.
Thoughts On Second Batch Of New Suzuki Hayabusa Selling Out In An Hour
The Suzuki Hayabusa is one of the most recognised bikes in the world and Suzuki has not messed around with the design. Thanks to Suzuki's electronic aids, the bike is definitely much easier to tame than its predecessor. Given this, many more buyers are flocking to Suzuki showrooms to buy the new Busa.
