Royal Enfield Hunter Spied Testing Once Again Ahead Of Its Launch: Details & More!

Royal Enfield is working on a new classic-roadster motorcycle. This new motorcycle from RE could be codenamed, the Hunter. It is expected to be placed in the brand's 350cc segment. Most of its features and mechanicals are expected to be shared from the brand's new J-platform motorcycle, the Meteor 350. The motorcycle has been spotted testing on several occasions earlier also.

However, according to the latest report by Vikatan, the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter has been caught on camera on the Tindivanam-Melmaruvathur highway. As seen in the spy pictures, the test model gets a single-piece wide seat, black alloy wheels, a wide handlebar and slightly rear-set footpegs.

The motorcycle also features a round-shaped headlamp, tail lamp, and turn signal indicators. The circular headlamp cluster will now feature an integrated LED Daytime Running Light. It gets a long sculpted tank, a muscular looking up-swept exhaust and side covers that look similar to the ones seen on the Meteor 350.

It is also expected to get the single-pod instrument cluster with a small dial for the brand's Tripper navigation. It uses a small TFT colour display to provide turn-by-turn navigation once paired with the smartphone via a mobile application. The main cluster unit will be reserved to provide the rest of the details such as speed, ODO, trip meter, fuel level and other telltale signs as well.

Mechanically, the Hunter is expected to be powered by the same engine as the Meteor 350. It will be the new SOHC 349cc single-cylinder air-oil cooled SOHC engine that will produce 20.2bhp of power at 6100rpm and 27Nm of peak torque at 4000rpm and is mated to a five-speed gearbox. With the new engine, the motorcycle is expected to carry impressive levels of refinement.

The Hunter is also expected to feature the same double-cradle chassis that debuted on the Meteor 350 motorcycle. Suspension duties on the motorcycle seem to be handled by a conventional telescopic fork with gator covers at the front and a twin-shock setup at the rear. Braking on the motorcycle is expected to be the same as seen on the new Meteor cruiser motorcycle. It is also expected to be offered with a dual-channel ABS as standard.

Thoughts About Royal Enfield Hunter Spied Testing

The Royal Enfield Hunter motorcycle is the brand's all-new offering in the 350cc segment, which is expected to arrive in the market sometime later this year. Once launched, the hunter will go up against the likes of the Honda Highness CB350 and the Jawa 300 motorcycles.
