The 2021 Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup is a one-make series, where racers will use the race-prepped version of the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650. The series aims to make track racing accessible to all types of racers.
The registrations for the 2021 Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup is now open and is scheduled to close by the end of this month.
After the end of registrations, 100 eligible riders will be selected to take part in the Rider Selection Programme that will be held at Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore from October 18 to 19.

Coming back to racing, participants must be 18 years or older as of January 1, 2021. Along with that, the rider must provide documents such as a Track School participation certificate, FMSCI accredited race participation certificate, Track Day participation certificate/proof/ pay and practice receipt, FMSCI 2W Race Licence, COVID-19 vaccination certificate (two doses), and a Medical fitness certificate.
Apart from this, selected riders must bring their own helmet, gloves and boots that are certified for track use and adhere to FMSCI standards.

Now coming to the big question, the cost of racing in the Continental GT Cup. Though online registration is free, all aspiring participants who will receive the invitation for the Rider Selection Programme will have to pay Rs 2,500 + 18% GST.

The track-spec Royal Enfield Continental GT-650 is full-24 kgs lighter than the standard variant. The changes include a bespoke stainless steel exhaust pipe, stiffer race-tuned suspension at front & back, lower race clip-on handlebars, rear-set foot pegs, special fairing and belly pan for better aerodynamics, and JK race tyres.
