Revolt Motors Opens EV Bike Dealership In Bangalore
Electric motorcycle manufacturer Revolt Intellicorp has opened its first dealership in the city of Bangalore. The new dealership, located in the Koramangala locality of the garden city, was inaugurated by Revolt Motors CEO Jenender Anand.
The inauguration of the new dealership in Bangalore means that Revolt is now present in 9 different cities across the country. The electric bikemaker also has dealerships in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Surat and Jaipur.
Revolt has two motorcycles currently on sale in India - the RV400 and the RV300. The two Revolt bikes were the first electric motorcycles to go on sale in India.
The more powerful and premium RV400 is the current flagship of the Revolt lineup. The Revolt RV400 is powered by a 3KW (Mid Drive) motor connected to a 72V, 3.24KWh Lithium-Ion battery. Charging the battery pack from 0-75 per cent takes three hours, while a full top-up takes a further hour and a half. Another option available is the ability to swap battery packs.
The battery pack gives the Revolt RV400 an ARAI certified range of 156 kilometres in ECO Mode. The electric bike features two other riding modes - Normal and Sports which drop the range for more speed.
In Eco mode, the top speed is limited to 45km/h. In Normal mode, the top speed increases to 65km/h while the range drops to a claimed 100 kilometres. In Sports mode, the range drops down further to just 80 kilometres, but the top speed goes up to 85km/h.
The Revolt RV400 features a full LED lighting setup. This means that the vertically oriented headlights along with the turn signals and brake lights all feature LEDs, which help conserve power. The fully digital instrument cluster gives you all the details you need on the go including speed, range, bike temps, ambient temperature, along with a clock.
Revolt RV400 owners can also customise the sound their electric bike emits by choosing between 4 different sound profiles in the MyRevolt App. The sound profiles are named Revolt, Rebel, Roar and Rage.
The RV400 from Revolt also features a host of connectivity features accessible through the MyRevolt App. These features include geo-fencing, diagnostics and the ability to remotely start the bike by swiping on the app. Revolt RV400 owners can also access historical data about their previous rides.
The smaller RV300, on the other hand, features a smaller 1.5kW electric motor which is connected to a 2.7kWh lithium-ion battery pack which provides a range of 180 kilometres on a single charge. The Revolt RV300 e-motorcycle has a top speed of 65km/h.
Revolt currently imports much of its parts from China. However, as we reported earlier this year, the company plans to produce its first fully Made in India electric motorcycle. The new model dubbed the RV1 will be manufactured at Revolt's production facility in Manesar, Haryana and will feature 100% localisation.
Thoughts on the Opening of the Revolt Bangalore Dealership
Revolt has finally made its way into Bangalore. This is good news both for the company and the city folk who seem to be slowly but surely switching to electric power and now finally have a two-wheeler EV option that is not a scooter.
