New Royal Enfield Classic (2021) Spied Testing Again Ahead Of India Launch: Pics & Details
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is all set to get a couple of upgrades from the Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer. The motorcycle is likely to get a brand-new engine and chassis along with few other upgrades.

Ahead of its launch, the new-generation Classic 350 motorcycle was spotted testing ahead of launch in the Indian market. Spy images from Gaadiwaadi showcase a set of partially camouflaged test mules of the new-gen Classic testing in the country.

The company recently launched an all-new motorcycle called the Meteor 350 that is powered by a new SOHC 349cc single-cylinder air-oil cooled SOHC engine. It produces 20.2bhp at 6100rpm and 27Nm of torque at 4000rpm and is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The same engine is expected to make its way on to the Classic motorcycle as well.

With the updated engine, the noise and vibrations levels on the new-gen motorcycle are expected to be reduced drastically. The engine will be smoother and efficient as compared to the powertrain on the outgoing model.

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is also likely to receive a new chassis that does its duties on the new Meteor 350. The Classic 350 currently a single downtube cradle frame, which will be replaced by a sturdier double downtube cradle chassis.

Although the overall design of the motorcycle is expected to remain the same, it will be featuring a couple of new updates to its lighting setup and more. The circular headlamp cluster will now feature an integrated LED Daytime Running Light along with a new smaller round shaped tail lamps and updated turn signal indicators.

The seats on the Classic 350 is also expected to be updated to offer better cushioning. However, it will continue the split-syle setup as seen on the outgoing models of the motorcycle. Other changes that are expected on the new-gen Classic includes new switchgear borrowed from the Meteor 350 motorcycle with two round dials placed on top of the handlebar.

Another significant upgrade that is expected on the motorcycle is its instrument cluster. The new-gen motorcycle is expected to receive an all-new semi-digital unit with a small display for ODO meter, trip meters, fuel gauge and more. It is also expected to receive the brand Tripper on-board navigation unit for turn-by-turn navigations.

Mechanicals such as suspension and brakes on the new-gen motorcycle is expected to be carried forward from the old-gen model. It is also expected to be offered with a dual-channel ABS as standard. Once launched, the new-gen Classic 350 is also expected to become part of the brand's Make-It-Yours personalization and customization programme.
