2021 Ducati Streetfighter V4 & V4S Launched In India: Prices Start At Rs 19.99 Lakh

Ducati has launched the much-awaited 2021 Streetfighter V4 and V4S in the Indian market. The 2021 Ducati Streetfighter V4 & V4S performance street naked motorcycles are priced at Rs 19.99 lakh and Rs 22.99 lakh, ex-showroom (India).

The 2021 Streetfighter V4 and the V4S motorcycles now feature a host of upgrades. This includes new electronics and an updated MotoGP derived power unit. The Streetfighter V4 line-up is the brand's flagship naked motorcycle offering in the world.

The 2021 Streetfighter V4 is available in a single Ducati red colour option. While the Streetfighter V4S is offered in two colour options: Ducati Red and Dark Stealth. Bookings are now open across all Ducati dealerships in the country with deliveries said to begin soon after the lockdown ends.

The 2021 Streetfighter V4 and the V4S are powered by an updated version of the same engine that was on the previous versions of the motorcycles. The 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale 90° V4 engine produces a maximum of 206bhp at 13,000rpm and 123Nm of peak torque at 9.500rpm.

The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with the (DQS) Ducati Quick Shift EVO 2 bi-directional and a slip-assisted clutch. The motorcycle tips the scale at 201kg and 199kg on the Streetfighter V4 and the V4S, respectively.

Power and torque figures of the motorcycle can be raised to 217bhp and 130 Nm by fitting the full-racing Ducati Performance exhaust by Akrapovic. It also reduces the weight of the motorcycle by 6kg. All this means the motorcycle can sprint from 0 to 100kmph in under 3 seconds and continue to reach an electronically limited top speed of 270kmph.

The Streetfighter V4 models also feature a 5-inch TFT colour display for the instrument console. Along with the switchgear present on the motorcycle, the rider can control the plethora of electronics equipped by Ducati to extract maximum performance.

This includes multiple riding modes, various power modes, cornering ABS EVO, (DTC) Ducati Traction Control EVO 2, (DWC) Ducati Wheelie Control EVO, (DSC) Ducati Slide Control, (EBC) Engine Brake Control EVO, and Auto tyre calibration.

The brain of the motorcycle is matched with the drop-dead gorgeous Italian styling. This include mean-looking LED headlamps and taillamps, a muscular fuel tank, a massive radiator grille, load-finished forks, and the single-sided swingarm. The Streetfighter is sure to make the people around it drool over the looks and the sound from the sweet exhaust.

Suspension duties on the standard motorcycle are handled by a 43mm fully-adjustable USD Showa BPF at the front and a fully-adjustable Sachs mono-shock unit at the rear. On the other hand, the V4S features electronically-adjustable Ohlins NIX30 USD forks at the front and Ohlins TTX36 mono-shock units at the rear.

Braking on both motorcycles is done via dual 330mm semi-floating discs with radially-mounted Brembo Monobloc Stylema M4.30 4-piston callipers at the front and a single 245mm disc with a two-piston calliper at the rear.

The standard Streetfighter V4 motorcycle features five-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels, while the V4S features lighter Marchesini 3-spoke forged aluminium alloy wheels. Both motorcycles come shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II performance tyres at both ends.

The 2021 Streetfighter V4 and the V4S are among the few of the naked motorcycles having a power output of over 200bhp. The Italian performance nakeds rivals the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS and the Kawasaki Ninja Z H2 in the Indian market.

Mr Bipul Chandra, Managing Director of Ducati India said, "The Streetfighter V4 embodies the spirit of a mean beastly super naked, that is loaded with performance to back it up. The Streetfighter's naked bike design does a fantastic job of putting that nature of the bike right at the centre."

He further added, "An unrivalled super naked bristling with cutting-edge technology and an awe-inspiring design that oozes pure, accessible performance, whether it's on the road or the racetrack. The motorcycle was much awaited by enthusiasts and Ducatisti alike and we are excited that it is finally available in India for everyone to experience."
