The teaser images of the Komaki Ranger released by the company show off the front lighting array of the upcoming electric cruiser motorcycle as well as its classical looks. The Komaki Ranger will be the first-ever electric cruiser motorcycle to hit Indian roads.

Speaking about the upcoming launch of the company's electric cruiser motorcycle, Gunjan Malhotra, Director, Komaki Electric Vehicle Division, said, "The Ranger is going to be a game-changer as it is India's first-ever electric cruiser. There are some things that need to be finalised but we have decided to keep the price affordable. We want everyone - especially the common man - to experience the joy of riding a quality cruiser that is made in India. Komaki has invested more than 1 million US Dollars in the design and development of the Ranger. We have left no stone unturned to make sure that Ranger comes out as our masterpiece, and we hope that it'll be received with love once it rolls out in the market."

Malhotra added, "We have left no stone unturned to make sure that Ranger comes out as our masterpiece, and we hope that it'll be received with love once it rolls out in the market."

The Komaki Ranger draws power from a 4kWh battery pack. Komaki claims that this is the largest battery pack ever fitted to an electric two-wheeler in India. The battery pack powers a 5,000 watt electric motor and the two combine to give a claimed range of 250 kilometres.

The Komaki Ranger is expected to launch in January 2022. Komaki claims that the cost of designing and developing the upcoming Ranger electric cruiser was over a million dollars and the new bike will come packed with a host of features.

These features include cruise control, repair switch, reverse switch, an advanced braking system and Bluetooth connectivity among others.

More details about the Komaki electric cruiser motorcycle will emerge when it launches in the near future and the bike is expected to be priced aggressively.

Komaki Electric Vehicle Division entered the electric vehicle market in 2016 and is part of KLB Komaki Private limited, a well known name in the Bearings and Driveshaft business, that was founded in 1987. Komaki Electric Vehicles Division currently produces a host of electric scooters, motorcycles and commercial three-wheelers for the Indian market. These include 8 smart scooters and 3 smart motorcycles and two high speed scooters and a single high speed bike.

Komaki's website also teases the arrival of a new electric scooter but no details are currently available.

Thoughts On the Komaki Ranger

The Komaki Ranger promises to bring long single-charge range (the longest for any bike in India to date) at an afforable price. This should make the Ranger really popular if the bike does live up to its claimed promises.
