Hero Electric Opens New Dealership In Mysore — Second Showroom In Sandalwood City

The new dealership, which bears the name EV Auto House was opened in the presence of Shri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamyji, Suthur Mutt. The new dealership is spread out over an area of 1400 square feet. The dealership features both sales and service spaces.

Speaking about the launch, Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric, said, "At Hero, we intend to set up a robust dealership presence along with authorized service outlets across to meet customer requirements. Karnataka is one of our priority markets and highlights wider customer awareness translating into faster EV adoption. We will continue to work towards offering robust charging infrastructure, create awareness and focus on network expansion to make EVs more accessible to consumers."

The new EV Auto House dealership will offer the company's whole offering of 9 electric scooters and the Velocity electric cycle.

The 9 electric scooter range is actually made of 5 models - Nyx, Photon, Optima, Flash and Atria. The Optima is available in both City Speed (HX) and Comfort Speed (LX) which offer top speeds of 42km/h and 25km/h respectively. The Optima has a maximum range of 122 kilometres in the HX guise, while in LX form the range drops to 88 kilometres.

The Nyx and Photon electric scooters are only offered in the City Speed (HX) guise with ranges of 165 and 108 kilometres respectively.

The Hero Electric Flash and Antria are only offered in LX trim which limits them to a top speed of just 25km/h. However, all three LX models of the Hero Electric range - Optima LX, Atria and Flash - do not need to be registered to be ridden on the roads. Both the Atria and the Flash have a claimed range of 85 kilometres on a single charge.

Hero Electric's e-cycle is called the Velocity and it offers a pedal-assisted range of 50 kilometres on single charge of is 10Ah batteries.

Charging time on the entire Hero Electric range vary between four to five hours for a full top up.

The new dealership in Mysore now becomes a part of Hero Electric's over 700+ sales and service outlets spread across the nation and has a presence in 24 states.

Hero Electric currently has 1650+ charging stations set up across the country. The electric two wheeler manufacturer plans to increase this number to 20,000 by the end of next year.

The opening of the new dealership expands Hero Electric's network in the state of Karnataka and brings affordable electric vehicles to a wider audience in Sandalwood City. This should hopefully boost EV adoption in the city of Mysore.
