Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled Fasthouse Launched At Rs 10.99 Lakhs

Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has launched the Scrambler Desert Sled Fasthouse in India at Rs 10.99 lakhs. The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled Fasthouse is limited to just 800 units worldwide and celebrates the collaboration between Scrambler Ducati and apparel brand Fasthouse. However, all the units of this limited run bike allocated to India have been sold out.

Last year Ducati and Fasthouse had collaborated together and the partnership saw American rider Jordan Graham win the Hooligan class of the Mint 400, the oldest and most prestigious American off-road race.

Commenting on the launch, Bipul Chandra, Managing Director, Ducati India said, "The Scrambler Desert Sled is one of the most capable off road bikes in the segment and our customers in India have recognized that fact. The Fasthouse carries an absolutely distinctive looking Scrambler Desert Sled liveries in the recent past and is the coolest Desert machine, which is why only 800 people in the world can have it! When we opened the bookings to our dealer network, the initial allocation for the Indian market was sold out within minutes."

The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled Fasthouse is based on the regular Scrambled Sled and features a unique livery that pays homage to the ones on the bikes used in the Mint 400 off-road race last year.

The main colours of the livery are black and grey which form a cool geometric shape on the fuel tank which also sports the Fasthouse logo alongside that of the Ducati Scrambler. The frame is painted in Ducati Red and is embellished with an aluminium plate bearing the unique number of the bike (out of the 800 units).

The seat height of the Desert Scrambler Sled sits 840mm above the ground and the rally-inspired footpegs feature removable rubber pads. Both the mudguards are painted black.

The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled Fasthouse is powered by an air cooled 803cc L-twin engine that produces 71.8bhp at 8,250rpm and 66.2Nm of peak torque at 5,750rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox with straight cut gears and a slipper clutch.

The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled Fasthouse features a tubular steel trellis frame setup with 46mm upside down forks up in front and a Kayaba mono shock with 200mm of travel at the rear with preload and rebound adjustment along with a double sided aluminium swingarm.

Braking is taken care of by a 330 mm disc brake on the front wheel with radial 4-piston callipers and a 245mm disc brake at the back with a single floating calliper. The brakes are helped along by dual-channel ABS from Bosch.

The front wheel is a spoked 19-inch unit clad with a 120/70 R19 tyre. The rear wheel is a spoked 17-inch unit that sports a 170/60 R17 tyre. The tyres used on the Desert Scrambler Sled are Pirelli's Scorpion Rally STRs which combine the best performance of an off-road tyre with that of a street tyre.
