The tenth stage of the 2021 Dakar Rally has come to an end. With only two more stages to go, the leader board has completely changed. The desert continues its reign over the participants with a couple of retirements by the end of the stage.

Stage 10 of the 2021 Dakar Rally was held between Neom and AlUla. Today's stage covered a total distance of 583 kilometres with 342 kilometres of the Special stage. Participants had to tackle a mix of sandy and muddy terrain at the start of the special stage.

Several sandy tracks allowed riders and drivers to quicken the pace, but they had to be careful not to get lost because of a navigation error. It continues to be the biggest challenge for competitors opening the stage in this year's edition of the Dakar Rally.

Much like the yesterday, all three podium places of the tenth stage of the 2021 Dakar Rally was won by Monster Energy Honda Team 2021 riders. Taking the top step is Ricky Brabec, followed by Joan Barreda Bort, who took second and Kevin Benavides who took third overall.

However, the race leader Jose Ignacio Cornejo Florimo suffers an unfortunate crash after 250 kilometres into the special stage. Despite the injuries, the Chilean rider completed the stage over 11 minutes behind the leader. Upon a medical examination by the ASO doctors, he had to throw in the towel for the remainder of the race.

Speaking about Indians in the 2021 Dakar Rally, Harith Noah has outperformed himself to secure another top 20 finish in the race. The Sherco Factory Rally Team rider has completed the Stage 10 in 16th position overall. He improves his General Standings by place to rank in 24th position.

While his teammate Sebastian Buhler finishes the tenth stage in 21st position overall. After today's stage, Joaquim Rodrigues and Sebastian Buhler are placed 11th and 16th in the General Standings, respectively.

Laia Sanz who is riding for the Gas Gas Factory Team continues her consistent perfromance to complete in 30th position overall. She is now placed in 20th position in General Standings with over 30 minutes in lead to the next participant.

Ricky Brabec, the winner of Stage 10 of 2021 Dakar Rally, said, "I'm sure Nacho has a lot of pressure. Leading the Dakar is not easy. I don't think there's a lot of pressure from the team, but for a personal goal, I think he has a lot of pressure. He's a young kid, he's been riding well all week, he's been surprising everybody. He's the best navigator at this rally. We all know we all wanna win. Winning is the best thing there is in life. There's no real team orders."
