‘Built To Order’ Platform Allows For The Customisation Of Apache RR 310; First Batch Sold Out
The 'Built To Order' platform allows TVS customers to customise their Apache RR 310. While the first batch of these 'Built To Order' vehicles were sold out, the company is planning to re-open the booking on October 1st.
On the 'Built To Order' platform, potential customers can access the 'Built To Order' platform via the 'TVS Arrive' App or the online configurator.
Once the potential customer visits the TVS 'Built To Order' website, the customer can either continue using the online configurator or download the 'TVS Arrive' App on mobile. The TVS Arrive App is available in both Play Store and AppStore.
On the 'Built To Order' platform, customers can configure various things on their TVS Apache RR 310.
Once the customer comes to the online configurator, the customer can see the base price on the top and four options on the bottom. The four options let the customer choose the Package, Colour, Race Number, and Features.
The 'Features' option lets the potential customers see and know about the highlight features of the TVS Apache RR310.
The next option is the 'Race Number' option that lets the potential customer choose a personalised number sticker on the transparent windscreen for a race bike feel.
The 'Colour' option lets potential customers choose three basic visual colour schemes, out of which only the Black Colour option lets potential customers customise the colour on the alloy wheels.
Finally, in the 'Package' option, the potential customers have the option to add a 'Dynamic Kit' or a 'Race Kit' or even both the kits.
On the Dynamic Kit, TVS offers fully adjustable KYB front and rear suspension, and a Brass coated drive chain.
The KYB front suspension offers 20 sets of damping and 15mm preload, whereas the rear suspension allows a similar 20 sets of damping but the preload is only 10 steps. The Dynamic kit adds Rs 12,000 to the price tag of the Apache RR 310.
On the Race Kit, TVS clearly focuses on improving the track rideability of the Apache RR 310. This kit adds a more aggressive handlebar set-up that is not only lower but also narrower at 117.1°.
Apart from that, the Kit adds a pair of footpegs that has been repositioned by 30mm to give more clearance while cornering, thus encouraging the rider to corner in a more aggressive manner.
The Race Kit is relatively cheaper at Rs 5,000. Customers can add both kits if necessary, but the overall price will go up by Rs 17,000.
Apart from this, the configurator lets the users scroll through the different modes of the TVS Apache RR 310 to experience the digital instrument console.
Speaking of ride modes, TVS Apache RR 310 has four different ride modes; Rain, Urban, Sport, and Track.
If this is not enough to satisfy the inner geek, the Smart Connect app lets you analyse your ride data through the 'Race Telemetry' function and give various information like the acceleration, deceleration, altitude, top speed, gearshift data and many more.
Powering the TVS Apache RR 310 is a 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 34 bhp at 9,700 rpm and 27.3Nm of torque at 7,700rpm, and the engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.
Thoughts About TVS 'Built To Order' Platform
Though Indians are somewhat familiar with the customisation of premium bikes and cars, the majority of consumers have never experienced customisation on "affordable" bikes.
This feature from TVS is a much-welcomed move as it will enable many youngsters to customise their rides according to their personal preferences.
