BMW G 310 R & G 310 GS Price Hike Announced In India: Here Is The New Price List
BMW Motorrad India has increased the prices of the G 310 R and the G 310 GS in the country. The street-naked motorcycle and the adventure-tourer receive a price hike of Rs 5,000 from the company.
After the price increase, the BMW G 310 R now retails at Rs 2.50 lakh. On the other hand, the G 310 GS costs Rs 2.90 lakh. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom (India). The company has issued a price hike within 3 months of its launch in the market.
The updated BS6 G 310 motorcycles were launched in India back in October 2020. At the time of launch, the entry-level motorcycle offering from the brand represented a huge value for money over the BS4 models. The BS6 G 310 R and the G 310 GS were cheaper by almost Rs 64,000.
Both motorcycles came with an updated engine to comply with BS6-emission standards. The BMW G 310 R and the G 310 GS are powered by a 312cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. It produces a maximum of 34bhp at 9500rpm and a peak torque of 28Nm at 7500rpm.
The engine comes mated to standard a six-speed gearbox. It also features a slip-assist clutch to enable smooth up and downshifts. The fueling on the motorcycle is also smoother and precise because of the Ride-by-Wire technology. The brand claims that both motorcycles are capable of accelerating from 0 - 50km/h in just 2.5 seconds while reaching a top speed of 143km/h.
Both the G 310 R and the G 310 GS receive an all-new front fascia with a new headlamp design. The entire lighting setup including turn signals on both motorcycles is handled by LED units. Other changes include updated graphics and a couple of new paint schemes that enhance the looks of both motorcycles.
Suspension duties on both motorcycles are handled by gold-finished USD forks at the front and a mono-shock setup at the rear with adjustability for pre-load. Braking on the motorcycle is done via disc brakes at both ends supported by a dual-channel ABS as standard. Both motorcycles also receive adjustable brake and gear levers for precise operations.
The company recently released a sales report for two-wheelers for the calendar year 2020. The company has registered an annual growth of 6.7 per cent because of the G 310 R and the G 310 GS motorcycles — here are all details.
