Bajaj recently launched the all-new Pulsar F250 and N250 in India. We recently rode both the new Pulsar F250 (read the review here) and the N250 (read our review here) and found them to be quite similar with a few small differences that make them unique. So what are the differences between the Pulsar N250 and F250? Let's find out.

1 - Design

The most visible difference between the F250 and N250 is in the styling. While the Pulsar N250 sports a naked streetfighter design and is the angrier looking one of the duo, the Pulsar F250 features a small fairing that gives it a slightly more muscular and wider look.

The presence of the fairing also gives the two bikes a slightly different design when viewed from the side. This is due to the F250's faux air intakes and the way the fairing integrates itself into the fuel tank section. The presence of the fairing also contributes to the F250's extra girth, as the bike weighs 2 kilos heavier than its naked sibling.

Both the Pulsar 250s look exactly the same from the exhaust onwards with narrow tail sections and dual taillights.

2 - Ergonomics & Riding Dynamics

The new Pulsars feature a slight difference in terms of ergonomics. The new F250 allows for a more upright riding position thanks to its raised handlebars, which in turn makes the faired quarter-litre Pulsar a better long-distance tourer compared to the N250.

The new Bajaj Pulsar N250, on the other hand, features a more aggressive riding position, which along with the grippy tyres gives riders the confidence to throw the naked quarter-litre Pulsar into the corners.

Thoughts On The Bajaj Pulsar N250 and F250

The launch of the Bajaj Pulsar F250 and N250 marked 20 years since the Pulsar name came and changed the game for Indian bikers looking for a sporty bike at an affordable price. The new F250 and N250 bring the Pulsar name to the quarter litre class for the first time and both have their own unique calling cards. Personally, I prefer the F250 as the faired look and the slightly more relaxed riding stance reminds me of the Pulsar 220 DTS FI, which is the Pulsar I've always admired.
