Bajaj Pulsar N250 and F250 Launched in India — Prices Start At Rs 1.38 Lakh
Bajaj has launched the all-new Pulsar N250 and F250 in India. The Bajaj Pulsar N250 is priced at Rs 1.38 lakh while the F250 comes in at Rs 1.40 lakh (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
The all-new 250 twins are the biggest motorcycles to ever bear the Pulsar badge. The new bikes are based on an all-new platform and have been launched exactly 20 years to the day that Bajaj revealed the OG Pulsar in 2001 and changed the way the common man viewed performance motorcycles.
Bajaj Pulsar F250 & N250 Engine and Specifications
Powering the latest twins in the Bajaj Pulsar lineup is an all-new 250cc air and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine with variable valve actuation. The new fuel injected quarter-litre engine produces 24.1bhp and 21.5Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox which sends the power to the rear wheel. The Pulsar 250 gets a slipper clutch section as standard.
The new Pulsar 250 twins sport a brand new tubular frame chassis. The beefy telescopic forks in the front while the rear sports a brand new mono-shock setup linked to a box-section swingarm to take care of the rough stuff. Stopping power for the new Bajaj Pulsar 250 motorcycles are provided by disc brakes (310mm front and 230mm rear) on both wheels with the assistance of single-channel ABS. The rear tyre features a wider cross-section for better grip. The 17-inch wheels sport a 110/80 R17 tyre up front and a 130/70 rear tyre.
Bajaj Pulsar F250 & N250 Styling
The new Pulsar 250 twins feature aggressive styling. The all-new Pulsar 250F looks beefier and a whole lot meaner than the old-school 220F.
Upfront, both bikes feature a single projector headlamp flanked with the F250 angular daytime running lights. The turn indicators are quite sleek as well and are LED units just like the headlamp and DRLs. The faired F250 though looks a whole lot bigger thanks to the fairing and the large wind deflector.
From the side, the fairing on the 250F neatly integrates into the fuel tank section. The fairing also features satin contrast to the gloss colours of the new bike. The split setup can also be seen and the bikes feature raised clip-on handlebars for a more comfortable riding position. Also visible is the floating belly pan and pivot plate which are finished Siberian silver and provide a contrast to the copper colour chosen for the new engine.
The short and stubby double-barrel exhaust looks quite cool and the sound it emits has quite the growl to it. The alloy wheels on the new bikes look quite similar to the ones found on the smaller Pulsar NS200.
The infinity display instrument cluster provides information including digital tacho, gear position indicator, speed and range among many others and is a first for the Pulsar range.
The rear end of the Pulsar 250 twins is extremely sleek. The signature split LED brake lights that identify any bike as a Pulsar has been slightly tweaked and now form an X shape right at the top. The shortened rear fender compliments the sleek design of the rear end of the two bikes.
Thoughts on the New Bajaj Pulsar 250 Twins
20 years to the day since the first Pulsar was launched, Bajaj has once again stepped up to the plate and hit a home run. The new Pulsar F250 and N250 provide a bang for your buck that rivals will struggle to match and should restart another manic phase for its rabid fans.
