Bajaj Pulsar 250 & 250F India Launch Expected In November: Here Is What We Know So Far

We have been seeing multiple spy shots of the next generation of Bajaj Pulsar doing tests with its black and white camouflage suit. In a recent interview, the CEO of Bajaj Auto, Rajiv Bajaj revealed that the upcoming Pulsar will be the brand's "biggest" pulsar.

Based on reports from multiple sources, it is confirmed that the new Pulsar will sport a 250cc engine. However, unlike the naked version that has been spotted testing multiple times, there will also be a half-faired version.

This mostly points out the fact that the upcoming half-faired version of the 'Pulsar 250' is most probably a replacement for the ageing Pulsar 220F. According to Rajiv Bajaj's words, the launch of the Pulsar 250 variants should have taken place sometime earlier.

However, the launch was pushed away significantly due to the ongoing pandemic that hindered the development process. He further added that the delay made good sense as it allowed the company to launch the Pulsar 250 around the upcoming festive seasons.

Design-wise, the half-faired version of the Pulsar 250 looks bigger than the current generation of Pulsars. While the naked version of the Pulsar 250 looks reminiscent of Yamaha's MT-15.

Both the motorcycles look premium, thanks to the short-stubby exhaust and projector headlamps. However, to keep costs in check, Bajaj is using conventional telescopic forks upfront instead of the more premium USD forks.

Coming to the rear of the bikes, both bikes feature sleek tails with 'twin-stripe' LED brake lights that have been a signature of Pulsar since 2006. However, moving with the time, Bajaj has used a mono-shock setup for better handling.

Expect Bajaj to aggressively price both motorcycles given their budget-friendly hardware. We bet the pricing for the naked version to be around Rs 1.20 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the half-faired version may cost a little more at Rs 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom.

Bajaj Pulsar has always been a budget-friendly sports bike for many youngsters in India. The new version doesn't stray away from it either. When launched, we believe it will still be one of the most value-for-money sports bikes in India.
