Bajaj Auto has increased the prices of the Dominar 400 and the Dominar 250 motorcycles in the country. Prices for both motorcycles have been increased for the second time this year. Apart from the new pricing, both motorcycles remain the same without any new changes or features additions.

Within 5 months, Bajaj has increased the prices of both motorcycles by over Rs 6,000. The company is yet to announce the reason behind the price hike this month. However, most automakers have increased the prices for the second time this year.
According to the statement given by most automakers, the prices of the products have been increased due to the rising input costs for manufacturing. This includes the constantly increasing cost of steel, aluminium, and plastics. Additionally, the Covid-19 pandemic is still very much present in India, which could also pose some challenges to brands in the production of vehicles.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 BS6 is powered by a 373c single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit producing a maximum of 39.4bhp at 8000rpm and a peak torque of 35Nm at 7000rpm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slip-assisted clutch.
Coming to the Bajaj Dominar 250 comes powered by a 248cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine producing a maximum of 25bhp and a peak torque of 23.5Nm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slip-assisted clutch as well.
Both Dominar 400 and the 250 feature the same design and share most of the mechanical hardware between them. These include LED lighting all around, a fully digital instrument cluster, twin-barrel exhaust, single-piece handlebar, diamond-cut alloy wheels, 13-litre fuel tank with a secondary display on top, split seats and more.
Suspension duties are handled by USD forks at the front and an adjustable mono-shock set up at the rear. Braking is done via 320mm and 230mm discs at the front and rear, respectively; supported by dual-channel ABS.
Colour options on the Dominar 250 include Canyon Red and Charcoal Black. While the Dominar 400 is available in Savanna Green and Charcoal Black paint schemes.
