  • The Bajaj Dominar 250 will continue to be available in two colours: Canyon Red and Charcoal Black. Apart from the new colours the Dominar 250 has remained unchanged in terms of engine, mechanicals and features.

The Dominar 250 comes powered by a 248cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine producing a maximum of 25bhp and a peak torque of 23.5Nm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slip-assisted clutch as well.

    Features & Mechanicals

Most of the mechanical hardware and design elements are borrowed from the Dominar 400 on the 250.

    Other features:

    • LED lighting all around
    • Digital instrument cluster
    • Twin-barrel exhaust
    • Single-piece handlebar
    • 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels
    • 13-litre fuel tank
    • Split seats
    • Suspension duties are handled by USD forks at the front, and an adjustable mono-shock set up at the rear. Braking is done via 320mm and 230mm discs at the front and rear, respectively; supported by dual-channel ABS.

Speaking on the occasion, Narayan Sundararaman - Head of Marketing, Bajaj Auto Limited said, "We are proud to build the Sports Touring segment in India with a motorcycle that is 'Born To Sprint and Built To Tour'. We have recently achieved the historic milestone of 1,00,000 Dominars touring across the world, which reaffirms our mission of redefining long-distance touring."

He further added, "We realize that biking for youngsters can be so much more than just street fun if the bike comes with the right dose of performance, sharp & purposive design, and a superior riding experience. We believe that this Dual Tone Edition will attract young, dynamic and experience-seeking enthusiasts."

The Dominar 250 was first launched in March 2020, which is a carbon copy of its elder sibling the Dominar 400 in design. However, Bajaj has also ensured most of the features and mechanicals were carried forward from the 400 to 250, which will give it an attractive appeal to the buyers in the country.

Last month, Bajaj Auto dropped the price of the Dominar 250 from 1.65 lakh to Rs 1.54 lakh, which is a price drop of Rs 16,800. Despite the introduction of new colours, the company has managed to keep the price the same as before.

The Bajaj Dominar 250 rivals the KTM Duke 250, the Yamaha FZ-25 and the Suzuki Gixxer 250. Although the Bajaj Dominar 250 strikes a perfect balance between design, value and performance. However, the motorcycle is relatively heavier than its segment rivals.

Thoughts About The Bajaj Dominar 250 Dual-Tone Colours Launched In India

Bajaj Auto launches the new paint schemes on the Dominar 250, which will appeal to more younger buyers in the country. Also, the long-distance travelling and vlogging on bikes are catching on in India, which can translate to more sales of the entry-level touring motorcycle from the brand.
