TVS Ntorq 125 Prices Increase For Second Time After BS6 Update: Here Is The New Price List
TVS Motor Company launched the BS6 Ntorq 125 scooter earlier this year in the Indian market. The scooter carried a premium of Rs 7,500 over its BS4 counterpart during the time of launch. However, the company increased the prices of the scooter by a small margin last month.
According to the latest reports, TVS has yet again increased the prices of the BS6 Ntroq 125. It will be a second price hike since its launch in the market. The BS6 scooter receives a hike of Rs 1,000 across all variants of the scooter.
The TVS Ntorq 125 is currently available in three variants: Drum, Disc & Race Edition. After the second hike, the scooter retails at a starting price of Rs 67,885, while the Disc variant costs Rs 71,885. The Ntorq 125 Race Edition is now priced at Rs 74,365. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom (Delhi).
The TVS Ntorq 125 BS6 scooter remains similar to the BS4 models. The scooter continues to be powered by a BS6-compliant 124cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. The power unit now features fuel-injection and produces a maximum of 9.1bhp at 7000rpm and 10.5Nm of torque at 5500rpm.
The updated scooter is also slightly heavier as compared to its BS4 predecessor. The fuel tank capacity is also increased on the BS6 Ntorq 125 from 5-litres to 5.8-litres. Apart from these, no other changes have been made to the scooter.
It continues to feature a fully-digital instrument console, that features the brand's SmartXonnect for smartphone pairing, an external fuel filler cap, an engine kill switch, along with LED lighting. The scooter continues to feature a throaty exhaust note, which is an appealing factor.
Apart from the TVS Ntorq 125, the company has also increased the prices of its Jupiter BS6 scooter in the Indian market. After the latest price increase, the TVS Jupiter retails at a starting price of at Rs 63,102, while the top-spec Classic variant costs Rs 69,602. Like most manufacturers, TVS is also forced to increased the prices of its BS6 models in the Indian market. There are several reasons behind the price hike such as the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the increased material cost to make the scooter BS6 compliant; among others. However, the price increase is only marginal.
