TVS Motor Company has silently increased the price of Jupiter BS6 scooter. The prices have been increased by around Rs 651 across all variants of the scooter. The Jupiter now retails at a starting price of Rs 62,062.

The TVS Jupiter was recently updated to meet the BS6 emission norms and is sold in three variants: ‘Standard', ‘ZX' and ‘Classic'. The Standard and the ZX variants have received a price increase of Rs 613 and the ZX variant now retails at a starting price of Rs 64,062. While prices for the top-trim TVS Jupiter Classic has been increased by Rs 651 and now costs Rs 68,562. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom Delhi.

The TVS Jupiter BS6 model is powered by a 110 cc single-cylinder engine that now features fuel-injection technology. It produces a maximum power of 7.4bhp at 7000rpm and a peak torque of 8.4Nm at 5500rpm. With the introduction of fuel injection, the engine promises to offers better refinement, increase fuel-efficiency and enhanced performance.

The BS6 scooter continues to retain most of its features from the BS4 model. This includes the LED headlamp, LED taillamp, an analogue instrument cluster, a glovebox on the apron, exterior fuel lid, 21-litre under-seat storage compartment, and a windshield for the Classic variant. The ZX and the Classic variants are offered with a USB charger as well.

Moving to the other cycle parts, all three variants of the Jupiter come with telescopic front forks at the front, and coil spring shock absorbers setup at the rear. The braking duties are handled by 130 mm dual drum brakes as standard. The scooter features with 12-inch alloy wheels at both ends shod in 90/90 section tubeless tyres. TVS is no longer offering the BS6 Jupiter with an optional disc brake on the ZX variant as seen on the BS4 models.

Alongside the Jupiter, TVS has also increased the prices of several models in its line-up this includes the Apache RTR 200 4V and the Apache RTR 160 4V. Both motorcycles have received a price increase of Rs 2,500 and Rs 2,000, respectively. The TVS Ntorq has also received a price increase of Rs 910 across all variants.

Apart from increasing the prices of its two-wheelers, TVS has also announced a new finance scheme on its entry-level model, the XL 100. The company has announced a new EMI scheme where customers will not have to pay any instalments for the first six months from the date of purchase.
