The company is currently gearing up for the start of production at its Hosur facility. As part of the production re-start, the company will be following all the safety measures and guidelines, set by the government. These guidelines and measures ensure the safety of each and every employee.
Amidst the lockdown, the company has been busy offering their support to the state and central government to fight the COVID-19 pandemic in India. The company has started multiple initiatives, including the production of PPEs, various relief funds, distribution of ration kits; among others.
The company has also been busy updating its product portfolio in the Indian market. TVS recently updated their website, discontinuing all the BS4 models from their lineup. This includes the TVS Jupiter Grande, TVS Wego and the TVS Scooty Pep+. While the Jupiter and Scooty are expected to be introduced in their respective BS6 avatars, the same can't be said for the Wego.
TVS Motor also recently acquired the iconic British motorcycle brand, Norton. The company acquired the motorcycle brand for GBP 16 million, with plans of expanding to various new markets in the future — here are the details.
