Suzuki Access 125 & Burgman Street BS6 Scooters Prices Hiked: Here Is The New Price List
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), have increased the prices of the Access 125 and the Burgman Street BS6 scooters in the Indian market. Both scooters receive a price hike of around Rs 1,800.
The Acess 125 BS6 scooter is sold in five variants and the Burgman Street is available in a single variant, all of which has received a price hike. The entry-level Access 125 trim is now priced at Rs 68,000, while the top-spec special edition retails at Rs 73,400.

The Access 125 come equipped with a whole host of features including LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, external chrome fuel filler, Suzuki's easy start system, semi-digital instrument cluster, LED tail lamps, USB socket, and a front pocket holder; among other. Suzuki is also offering a whole host of accessories including an optional visor to choose from as well.
As seen on the above price list the scooter is offered in five variants including two special edition trims as well. Most of the features and equipment are carried over from the standard model, however, there are some changes made to the special edition scooter. These include a special edition logo placed on the side of the scooter, a retro-looking seat fabric, chrome mirrors and a USB socket as standard.
Moving to the Suzuki max-scooter, the Burgman Street 125 is available only in a single variant. It has received a price hike of Rs 1,800, and now retails at Rs 79,700, ex-showroom (Delhi). The Burgman Street is a maxi-scooter that cater to a niche audience looking for a comfortable 125cc scooter offering maximum space and comfort.
The maxi-scooter features LED headlamps, tail-lamps and turn indicators, a mobile charging socket in the front glove box, a bottle holder place on the other side of the front apron, 21.5-litre under-seat storage, flexible footrests, a fully-digital instrument cluster and a combination switch for engine start and kill function; among others.
Both the scooters share most of the mechanicals between them including the BS6-compliant engine. The 124cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine now produces a maximum power of 8.6bhp at 6,750rpm and a peak torque of 10Nm at 5,500rpm.
The Access 125 and the Burgman Street features telescopic suspension at the front and a single-side swingarm setup at the rear. Braking duties on both scooters are handled by disc brakes at the front and a drum brake setup at the rear. However, the Access 125 is offered with a drum brake setup at the front on lower-spec trims. Both scooters also feature (CBS) Combi-Brake System.
In related news, the Suzuki has launched the much-awaited Gixxer 250 and the Gixxer SF 250 BS6 motorcycles in the Indian market. The Gixxer 250 BS6 retails at a starting price of Rs 1.63 lakh, while its fully-faired sibling the SF 250 retails at a starting price of Rs 1.74 lakh. Thoughts About The Suzuki Access 125 & Burgman Street BS6 Scooters Prices Hiked
The Suzuki Access 125 and the Burgman Street BS6 scooters have received a slight increase in its pricing. The price hike is negligible and is not expected to affect sales of the scooters in the Indian market. The Suzuki Access 125 primarily rivals the Honda Activa 125 in the Indian market. Although the Burgman Street does not have a segment rival in the market, it will be soon joined by the Aprilia SXR 125 maxi-scooter when launched in the country.
