Starting off with the most important update, the engine. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 comes powered by an updated version of the same 346cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. The company is however yet to reveal the exact power figures of the updated unit. The BS4 model of the Classic 350 produces 19.8bhp and 28Nm of torque, mated to a five-speed gearbox.
The new BS6 engine on the Classic 350 comes with a fuel-injection system which replaces the old carburettors on the outgoing model. This helps the Classic 350 comply with the stringent emission norms which will be implemented from April 2020.
Apart from the engine update, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 also comes with a new set of alloy wheels and a couple of new paint schemes as well. This includes two new colour schemes of Stealth Black and Chrome Black. Apart from these two new paint schemes, the BS6 Classic 350 will also be offered with the standard range of colour options: Signals Airbourne Blue, Signals Stormrider Sand, Gunmetal Grey and Classic Black.
Bookings for the new Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 have begun. Customers can book the motorcycle across all dealerships in the country for a token amount of Rs 10,000.
Apart from the launch of the BS6-compliant Classic 350, Royal Enfield is also said to be working on the next-generation iterations of their popular models. This includes the Classic, Bullet and Thunderbird series. The next-generation models from Royal Enfield are expected to go on sale by mid-2020.
