Mahindra Mojo BS6 Model Prices And Specifications Revealed Online: Details
Prices and specs for the new Mahindra Mojo BS6 models have been revealed online. According to Zigwheels, the motorcycle will be launched in India starting at Rs 2 lakh, ex-showroom.
The biggest change made to the Mahindra Mojo is its now BS6 compliant 294.7cc engine that now produces 25.2bhp and 25.96Nm of torque - lesser than the motorcycle's BS4 avatar that produced 26.3bhp and 28Nm of torque. The engine continues to be mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Mahindra has made changes to the subframe of the motorcycle that has resulted in a taller seat standing at 830mm - 15mm taller than the seat height on the outgoing BS4 models.
The motorcycles continue to feature conventional telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking duties continue to be handled by disc brakes at either end, and dual-channel ABS is offered as standard.
Other highlights include a twin-pod headlamp unit, a sculpted fuel tank, a step-up single piece seat, a semi-digital instrument cluster that displays speed, gear position, an odometer, and a trip-meter, a side mounted exhaust system, and large radiator covers.
Mahindra has opted to fit MRF tyres on the alloy wheels and does not offer the more premium Pirelli Angel CT tyres that are seen on the outgoing BS4 compliant models.
The brand offers the Mojo BS6 model in four new colours. There's the Black Pearl priced at Rs 1,99,900, the Garnet Black that is priced at Rs 2,06,000, and Ruby Red, and Red Agate that are priced at Rs 2,11,000. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom, India.
In Mahindra Two-Wheeler related news, the brand recently launched its Gusto 110 CBS and 125CBS models in the country starting at Rs 51,000 ex-showroom. Both scooters have been upgraded to meet mandatory safety norms in the country. To know more, click here.
Thoughts About The Prices And Specs Of The Mahindra Mojo BS6 Model
That seems like a whole lot of extra money for nothing substantial in return. The new BS6 compliant models are underpowered as compared to the outgoing models, and do not have anything new to offer outside of paint schemes. While the new livery may attract buyers, the motorcycle's closest competitor, the Bajaj Dominar is a better buy at the same price.
