KTM Reopens Dealerships Across India: Both Sales & Service Operations Resume
KTM India has announced the restart of dealer operations across the country. The company took to social media to announce that they will be reopening dealerships across India.
These dealerships and touchpoints will resume both sales and service operations. KTM has also released a list of dealerships which will be open across every state of India. There are still a few which continue to remain closed, probably because of its presence in a containment zone.
The restart of operations across all KTM dealerships will take place according to the guidelines set by the central and state governments. Dealerships in the green zone can resume operations, while those in the orange zone require approval to restart. However, the showrooms in the red zone will continue to remain shut until the end of lockdown.
All dealerships which resume operations will also follow all the safety and social distancing protocols. All staff members at dealerships will be trained to adhere to and follow personal hygiene and other safety measures, to ensure the safety of themselves and of customers.
Amidst the lockdown period which began from the 24th of March, 2020 KTM has announced a host of initiatives to support its customers and their motorcycles during this time. The company announced an extension in the warranty and free service schedule until the end of May 2020.
Prior to the start of lockdown, KTM launched the much-awaited 390 Adventure in the Indian market. The 2020 KTM 390 Adventure comes priced at Rs 2.99 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi).
It comes powered by the same 373cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which also powers the 390 Duke and RC models. This engine has been updated to comply with the BS6 emission norms and produces 43bhp and 37Nm of peak torque, mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Thoughts On KTM Reopening Dealerships Across India
KTM is among the latest two-wheeler manufacturers to confirm the reopening of dealerships across India. It joins a long list of two-wheeler manufacturers who have restarted operations, including its sister company, Bajaj Auto. While dealerships are now open, there is still no news about the restart of production processes for KTM at its plant in Pune.
