KTM 790 Duke Discount Offer: Up To Rs 2 Lakh On Remaining BS4 Models
KTM Duke 790 is offered with discounts of up to Rs 2 lakh. The offer is available only on the remaining BS4 models in India. With the deadline for BS6 emission norms less than 20 days away, the dealers are offering huge discounts on the naked motorcycle in India.
KTM launched the 790 Duke in India on September 23 at Rs 8.64 lakh (ex-showroom, India). A total of 100 naked motorcycles were brought to Indian shores as CKD (Completely Knocked Down) units and assembled at Bajaj's plant. The initial response to the motorcycle was good, and the company sold 41 units within 10 days of its launch out of the 100 motorcycles imported.
The 790 Duke rivals the likes of the Suzuki GSX-S750, Ducati Monster 797, Triumph Street Triple, Yamaha MT-09 and the Kawasaki Z900 in the Indian market. With tough competition and higher pricing, some units are unsold in the country. The BS6 emission norm deadline approaching soon, dealers are attracting the buyers by offering huge discounts on this feature-packed powerful motorcycle.
The KTM Duke 790 is powered by a 799cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. It produces 104bhp and 87Nm of torque and is paired to a standard six-speed transmission with a slipper-assist clutch. The 790 Duke weights only 169kg (Dry) and is one of the lightest bikes in its class, second only to the Triumph Street Triple S.
The suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by a 43mm upside-down forks at the front and a fully-adjustable mono-shock at the rear. The anchoring department on 790 Duke features dual 300mm discs at the front and a single 240mm disc at the rear.
The naked motorcycle allows the rider to switch between four riding modes: Rain, Streets, Sports and Track. The KTM Duke 790 also features a host of rider aids including traction control system, ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System), lean angle sensitivity, motor slip regulation, stability control, and a quickshifter for clutchless upshifts and downshifts.
The KTM Duke 790 features a fully-digital TFT instrument console offering a host of information to the rider. The company is also offering the option of upgrading motorcycles with the ‘KTM Powerparts', which includes a module to enable Bluetooth connectivity on the 790 Duke. Through this module, riders can connect their smartphone to the bike through an application, and access a host of information including trip details, telemetry etc.
Thoughts About The KTM 790 Duke Discount Offers
The 790 Duke comes with a host of features and a powerful engine. The motorcycle has got you completely covered in-terms of rider aids for a complete and stress-free journey. With a discount of nearly Rs 2 Lakh, most do not even care if the 790 Duke does not feature a BS6 compliant engine. We now wait to see what happens in KTM's backyard after the April 1st BS-VI emission norm deadline.
