KTM 250 Adventure Spotted At Dealerships: India Launch Expected In The Coming Days
KTM is all set to introduce the 250 Adventure motorcycle in the Indian market. The new KTM 250 Adventure once introduced in India will be the latest entry-level offering in the brand's ADV lineup.
While the company hasn't officially announced a launch timeline for the motorcycle, ZigWheels has released images showcasing the KTM 250 Adventure arriving at dealerships. This does suggest that the launch of the motorcycle is expected to take place in the coming days.
The 250 Adventure as the name suggests will be positioned below its larger sibling, the KTM 390 Adventure. The entry-level adventure-tourer will borrow the engine from its Duke 250 sibling. The engine on the Adventure version will produce the same power and torque figures, without any changes.
To reiterate, the engine comes in the form of a 249cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit. It produces 30bhp and 24Nm of peak torque and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The KTM 250 Adventure will come with just switchable-ABS and an off-road mode, missing out on a few features offered on its larger sibling.
Similar to the difference between the Duke 250 and 390, the entry-level adventure motorcycle will also miss out on the coloured TFT display, featuring the same screen as on the 250 Duke. This means that the KTM 250 Adventure will also skimp on smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation as well.
The KTM 250 Adventure is also expected to halogen headlamps with LED DRLs. The suspension duties on the motorcycle is said to be via 43mm WP forks at the front with 170mm travel and a monoshock setup at the back with 177mm of travel. Braking is handled by 320mm front and 230mm rear disc brakes, supported by dual-channel ABS.
The KTM 250 Adventure will come with 19-inch and 17-inch tyres at the front and back, respectively. The wheels will come wrapped in MRF Mogrip Meteor FM2 tubeless tyres.
Thoughts On The KTM 250 Adventure At Dealerships
The KTM 250 Adventure once introduced in the Indian market, will not have any direct rivals. The motorcycle will be priced at a slight premium compared to its Duke 250 sibling. However, in the entry-level ADV segment, the 250 Adventure will take on the likes of the Hero Xpulse 200 and the BMW G 310 GS.
