Kawasaki Launches The Ninja ZX-25R In Indonesia: Details & Specifications
Kawasaki has launched the much-awaited, quarter-litre inline-four Ninja ZX-25R in the Indonesian market. Alongside that, the company has also revealed the complete technical specifications of the motorcycle. The Ninja ZX-25R will be available in two variants - standard and special edition.
In the Indonesian market, the standard model is priced at IDR 96,000,000 (Rs. 5,00,236) while the Special Edition carries a price tag of IDR 112,900,000 (RS. 5,88,298). One can book the motorcycle with a token amount of IDR 5,000,000 (Rs. 26053). The standard version will be available in a single-tone paint: Metallic Spark Black. On the other hand, the special edition variant will be offered in three, dual-tone colour schemes: Lime Green/Ebony, Metallic Spark Black/Pearl Flat Stardust White and Candy Plasma Blue/Metallic Spark Blue.
While the motorcycle does look fairly similar to the Kawasaki Ninja 400, it does arrive with a bunch of differences. The motorcycle is heavily inspired by the bigger, ZX series motorcycles, and features a sharper front fascia. The motorcycle also features new LED headlamps, an aluminium swing-arm, up-side-down front forks, an adjustable mono-shock at the rear, clip-on handlebars, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and a gear-position indicator, and comes with dual-channel ABS as standard.
Mechanically, the Ninja ZX-25R is powered by a 249cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled engine. The unit produces 49.3bhp of power at 15,500rpm and 22.9Nm of peak torque at 14,500rpm. However, with the RAM Air intake, the motorcycle pumps out 50.3bhp. The unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox that benefits from a bi-directional Kawasaki Quick Shifter as standard on the special edition.
Once launched, the Kawasaki ZX-25R will compete with the Honda CBR250R. Both motorcycles feature high-grade equipment to offer maximum performance. Considering the motorcycle looks fairly similar to the Ninja 400 that is available in India, industry speculation is that the motorcycle will not be launched in India.
Thoughts About the Ninja ZX-25R
This is the smallest quarter-litre inline-four motorcycle from the company's portfolio. However, despite being a 250cc motorcycle, the Ninja ZX-25R sounds absolutely fantastic and just like a proper four-cylinder motorcycle.
