Jawa Motorcycles To Increase Prices Of Its Models From January 2021: Here Are The Details!
Jawa Motorcycles is said to increase prices of its models in the Indian market, starting from January 2021. All three motorcycles including the Jawa, Jawa forty-two and the Perak will receive a price hike.
According to carandbike, the price hike will be effective from the start of next month. However, the exact price hike amount is yet to be confirmed. The price increase could depend on the model as well. Reports also suggest that the increase in commodity prices and the rising input costs are said to be the main factors for the hike.
The Jawa model range starts with the Jawa forty-two, which is priced at Rs 1.65 lakh; the Jawa is offered with a starting price of Rs 1.74 lakh and the Perak comes with a price tag starting at Rs 1.94 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom (Delhi).
The Jawa and Jawa 42 are powered by 298cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engines. It produces 26bhp and 27Nm of peak torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. The Jawa Perak comes powered by a slightly larger 334cc displacement single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. It produces 30bhp and 32Nm of peak torque, mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Jawa Motorcycles is the second two-wheeler manufacturer after Hero MotoCorp who has confirmed a price hike for its models. Hero MotoCorp recently stated that their entire product lineup will receive a price increase by up to Rs 1,500, with effect from January 2021 — here are the details.
Mahindra & Mahindra which owns Jawa Motorcycles, also recently announced that they will be hiking the prices of all their passenger and commercial vehicles from January 2021. However, Mahindra is also yet to announce the exact price hike amount, which will depend on the model and variant.
