Husqvarna motorcycles have registered 163 units sold in February. The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and the Vitpilen 250 were launched in India last month. The bookings for both the motorcycles were opened well in advance.

According to Bikewale, the brand has sold 163 motorcycles combined in the last month. Both the motorcycles were first showcased in Goa and followed up with the launch in February. The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and the Vitpilen 250 retails at Rs 1.80 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi).

There are some changes between the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and the Vitpilen 250. The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 is a scrambler motorcycle and features dual-purpose MRF Revz FD tyres, flatter seat, tank rack to hold a bag, and most importantly a dual-tone silver-grey paint scheme.

While the Vitpilen 250 is a cafe-racer and features low-set clip-on handlebars, MRF Revz FC 1 soft compound tyres, and a dual-tone white & grey paint finish. The Vitpilen 250 features a more aggressive riding position of the two.

Apart from the above changes, all other components are shared between both the motorcycles. These include a circular digital instrument cluster, round-shaped led headlamps, horizontally mounted LED tail lamps and more. Both motorcycles feature a modern-retro design and look compact. However, the fuel tank design adds to the muscular looks of the motorcycle.

The suspension duties on both motorcycles are handled by a 43mm USD forks at the front and a mono-shock suspension at the rear, both by WP. Braking on both the motorcycles are done by a 320mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear, supported by dual-channel ABS.

The Husqvarna Svartpilen and Vitpilen 250 are powered by the same engine featured on the KTM 250 Duke. The 248.8cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine produces a maximum power output of 30bhp at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 24Nm at 7,500rpm. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with slipper assist clutch.

The Husqvarna Svartpilen and Vitpilen 250 rivals the Duke 250, the Suzuki Gixxer 250, the Yamaha FZ 25, and the newly launched Bajaj Dominar 250. The Husqvarna motorcycles will stand apart from its rivals because of its modern-retro design.

Thoughts About The Husqvarna Registers 163 Motorcycles Sold In February In India

Although we anticipated the Husqvarna brand to enter the Indian market with the 401 motorcycles, the 250cc motorcycles have kick-started their journey in the country. With the current slowdown in auto sales due to the Covid-19 outbreak, all brands are facing difficulties with sales. However, we expect the Husqvarna motorcycles sales to pick-up once the business resumes mainly due to its unique design among its rivals.
