Husqvarna Bikes Prices Increased By Up To Rs 4,700: Here Is The New Price List!
Husqvarna Motorcycles has increased the prices of their models in the Indian market. Prices for the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 have been increased by Rs 4,736 and are now offered with a price tag of Rs 1.84 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi).
Both models were first showcased in India at the 2019 India Bike Week (IBW), held in November. The two motorcycles were then launched in the Indian market in February this year. The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 comes with a neo-retro scrambler design, while the Vitpilen 250 features cafe racer styling.
Husqvarna Motorcycles are part of the Bajaj-KTM collaboration, hence it comes as no surprise that the company hiked the prices of its motorcycles in the Indian market. Bajaj and KTM also recently updated the prices of their entire product lineup, ranging from Rs 1000 to Rs 5000 in the Indian market.
Husqvarna Motorcycles in India are sold at select KTM dealerships across India. Hence with Bajaj and KTM restarting dealership operations recently, the two Husqvarna motorcycles will also be available for sale in the Indian market.
Both motorcycles, the Svartpilen and Vitpilen 250 are powered by a 249cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, borrowed from the KTM Duke 250. The engine on the two Husqvarna motorcycles produce 30bhp at 9000rpm and 24Nm of torque at 7000rpm, mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Both motorcycles come with 43mm USD forks at the front and a monoshock suspension setup at the rear, from WP. Braking is handled by a 320mm and 230mm disc at the front and rear, respectively; supported by dual-channel ABS as standard.
Husqvarna Motorcycles registered sales of 410 units in the month of March 2020. However, with the nationwide lockdown coming into effect from the 24th of March, we can make a case that the sales number could have been higher.
Thoughts About Husqvarna Motorcycles Price Hike
The Husqvarna motorcycles are attractive models in the two-wheeler segment. Both motorcycles, the Svartpilen and Vitpilen 250 come with minimalistic design, are compact and claim to offer good performance from a proven engine. The two motorcycles rival the likes of the Bajaj Dominar 250, Yamaha FZ 25 and the Suzuki Gixxer 250 in the Indian market.
