Hero MotoCorp is yet to launch their off-road BS6 motorcycle, the Xpulse 200 in the Indian market. The company is expected to launch the motorcycle sometime this month with some new accessories exclusive to the Xpulse 200.

Ahead of its launch, the BS6 motorcycle has started to arrive at dealerships across the country. The video uploaded by MRD Vlogs on YouTube reveals the Xpulse 200 BS6 arriving at a showroom ahead of its launch.

The company has revealed most of the changes made to the motorcycle including the update engine's power and torque figures. The BS6 engine produces a maximum power of 17.8bhp at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 16.4Nm at 6,400rpm. In comparison, the BS4 models produced 18.1bhp at 8,000rpm and 17.1Nm of torque at 6,500rpm — a 0.3bhp and 0.7Nm of torque more than the updated BS6 engine.

The engine will continue to come mated to a standard five-speed gearbox. The other changes made to the motorcycle includes the new exhaust pipe. The pipe from the head now goes under the engine belly-pan, which has also been redesigned to accommodate the new piping.

Additionally, all the changes and updates made to the BS6 motorcycle has also made it heavier than its predecessor model. It is now three kilograms heavier — tipping the scales at 157 kilograms, as compared to the BS4 model's 154 kilos.

Apart from the aforementioned changes, the BS6 motorcycle is expected to remain identical to the BS4 models. It will continue to feature full-LED headlamps, wide off-road biased rear-view mirrors, up-swept exhaust, knuckle guards, and dual-purpose tyres. It also features a fully-digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and more.

Other cycle parts are expected to remain unchanged as well. The Xpulse 200 will continue to feature 37mm long-travel telescopic forks at the front and 10-step adjustable mono-shock at the rear. The Braking on the motorcycle is done via a 276mm petal disc at the front and a 220mm petal disc brake at the rear supported by single-channel ABS.

The Hero Xpulse 200 BS4 models were available in two variants: carburetted version priced at Rs 97,000 and a fuel-injected version costing Rs 1.05 lakh. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom (Delhi).

However, the updated engine now comes with fuel-injection as standard. As a result, the BS6 Xpluse 200 is expected to be available only in a single variant. We also expect a slight increase in pricing because of the updates.
