Hero Reveals New Seat Covers And Helmet For The XPulse 200 BS6
Hero MotoCorp is yet to launch the BS6 Hero XPulse 200 in the Indian Market. However, the company has recently revealed new accessories for the XPulse 200, that include seat cover options and a motocross helmet.
The new seat covers for the Hero XPulse 200 comes in four options: Modern, Tourer, Adventure, and Dual-Tone. Each seat cover is for a different purpose like extra grip for offroading to extra comfort for urban as well as long highway rides.
Since it is an off-roader, the company has also unveiled an off-roading helmet for the BS6 XPulse 200. This helmet features a colour combination that matches one of the colour options on the motorcycle along with similar decals present on the dual-sport motorcycle. Hero has not yet revealed the prices of these accessories, but we expect the company to unveil the prices alongside the launch of the BS6 variant.
The company, earlier this year, revealed the power and torque figures for the BS6 Xpulse 200. The motorcycle is part of the company's ‘X' family which shared the same engine. The entry-level adventure motorcycle is powered by the same 199.6cc engine, which powered the older BS4 models. The engine is now updated to meet the BS6 emission standards and now features air/oil-cooling and fuel injection as standard.
The BS6 engine now produces a maximum power of 17.8bhp at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 16.4Nm at 6,400rpm. The motorcycle has lost on power and torque figures after the engine as compared to the BS4 models producing 18.1bhp at 8,000rpm and 17.1Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. The engine will continue to come mated to a five-speed gearbox.
Apart from that, the position of the exhaust pipe has been changed on the BS6 models. The header pipe is now directed downwards and goes under the engine and back up to the muffler. The engine belly-pan has also been redesigned to make room for the new exhaust piping. Whether this could affect the motorcycle's ground clearance remains to be seen.
Thoughts About The New Accessories Launched By Hero For The XPulse 200
The new off-roading helmet and the seat covers look really nice and Hero has done a good job by launching this. The Xpulse 200 is one of the best entry-level off-roaders and people who are looking forward to buying this motorcycle will definitely consider buying these gears.
