Hero Increases Prices Of The Destini 125 BS6 For The Second Time: Here Are The New Prices
Hero MotoCorp launched the Destini 125 BS6 earlier this year in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 64,310, ex-showroom (Delhi). However, in the month of May, Hero increased the prices of the Destini BS6 scooter for both variants by up to Rs 1,300.
The BS6 Hero Destini 125 scooter comes in two variants - LX and VX. Prices for the entry-level LX variant after the first hike was Rs 65,310 and for the top-end variant Rs 68,100. Once again Hero has increased the prices of both the LX and VX variants by Rs 1,890 and Rs 1,950, respectively. Now the base variant starts at Rs 67,200 and the top-end costs Rs 70,050. All prices mentioned above are ex-showroom.
The Hero Destini 125 continues to offer a host of features and equipment, including a start/stop technology, semi-digital instrument cluster, dual-texture seats, alloy wheels, chrome accents all around, mobile charging, boot lamp and many more.
Mechanically, the Hero Destini 125 is powered by a BS6-compliant 124cc single-cylinder fuel-injected engine. It produces 9bhp of max power at 7,000rpm and a peak torque of 10.4Nm at 5,500rpm. The company also claims that the Destini 125 offers 11 per cent improved mileage figures as compared to its BS4 variant.
The scooter also gets telescopic suspension at the front and hydraulic suspension as the rear. Braking duty on the scooter is handled by drum brakes at both ends supported by an integrated braking system.
In other related Hero MotoCorp news, the company teased the arrival of the BS6-compliant versions of the Xtreme 200S and Xpulse 200T motorcycles for the Indian market. The official company website now states both motorcycles as 'coming soon', indicating a launch probably in the near future. The motorcycles will carry forward the same 200cc engine, now BS6-compliant, producing 17.7bhp of power at 8500rpm and 16.45Nm of peak torque at 6400rpm. The unit will come mated to a five-speed gearbox.
Thoughts About The Hero Destini 125 BS6
The Hero Destini 125 BS6 doesn't feature any major changes, apart from the updated mechanicals, which now offers better performance, mileage and refinement. The scooter goes up against the likes of Suzuki Access 125, Honda Activa 125, TVS NTorq 125 and the newly-introduced Yamaha Fascino 125 in the Indian market.
