Hero MotoCorp Hands Over Two First-Responder Motorcycles To Community Health Centers

Hero MotoCorp has announced that it has handed over two first-responder motorcycles to Community Health Centers in Neemrana and Mundawar in the Alwar district of Rajasthan. The handing over is part of the brand's Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

The company says that these unique and utilitarian vehicles will be used to reach out to patients in rural and remote areas, and will help in moving them comfortably to the nearest hospital.

The brand's Xtreme 200R model has been custom-built as first-responder vehicles. The motorcycle is equipped with a full stretcher that features a foldable hood mounted on the side, and essential medical equipment such as a detachable first-aid kit.

The motorcycles also feature an oxygen cylinder, a fire extinguisher and other safety features such as LED flasher Lights, a foldable beacon light, an emergency wireless public announcement system, and a siren.

The two first responders vehicles were handed over to Mr Manjeet Dharampal Choudhary, a Member of the State Legislative Assembly of Rajasthan, fromMundawar (Neemrana), Alwar.

The first-responder motorcycles have researched, designed and developed via a collaborative initiative by engineers at Hero's Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur. and the New Model Centre (NMC) at the Company's manufacturing facility in Gurugram.

Hero MotoCorp has also announced that it is in the process of manufacturing more of these first-responder motorcycles, and intends handing them over to local health authorities in other parts across the country.

In Hero related news, the brand's soon-to-be launched Xpulse 200 BS6 models have begun arriving at dealerships across the country. The motorcycle is expected to launch at some point this month.

The motorcycle now features a BS6 compliant engine that produces 17.8bhp and 16.4Nm of torque. In comparison, the BS4 compliant engines produced 18.1bhp and 17.1Nm of torque. The engine continues to come mated to a five-speed gearbox. To know more, click here.
