Hero MotoCorp has increased prices of the Destini BS6 scooter in the Indian market. Prices have been increased for both variants of the scooter by up to Rs 1,300. The manufacturer is yet to officially respond about the price hike of the scooter.

The BS6 Hero Destini 125 scooter comes in two variants — LX and VX. Prices for the entry-level LX variant have been increased by Rs 1,000, and now retails at a starting price of Rs 65,310.

On the other hand, the top-spec VX variant sees a hike of Rs 1,300 and now costs Rs 68,100. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom (Delhi). Apart from the recent price increase, the company had also increased the prices for the Destini 125 scooter during the BS6 transition by Rs 7,000 as compared to its BS4 counterparts.

The Hero Destini 125 is powered by a BS6-compliant 124cc single-cylinder fuel-injected engine. It produces a maximum power of 9bhp at 7,000rpm and a peak torque of 10.4Nm at 5,500rpm. The company also claims that the Destini 125 offers 11% improved mileage figures as compared to its BS4 counterparts.

The Destini 125 features start/stop technology, a semi-digital instrument cluster, dual-texture seats, alloy wheels, chrome accents all around, mobile charging and a boot lamp; among others. Other cycle parts include telescopic suspension at the front and hydraulic suspension as the rear. Braking on the scooter is done via drum brakes at both ends supported by an integrated braking system.

In related news, Hero MotoCorp has resumed operations in India after the lockdown has been partially-lifted across select cities in the country. The company has started its retail sales operations across 1,500 touch-points across India.
