BMW F 750 GS, F 850 GS, F 850 GS Adventure 40 Year GS Models Unveiled
In order to celebrate 40 years of its GS range of motorcycles, BMW Motorrad has unveiled its F 750 GS, F 850 GS, F 850 GS Adventure models in new and refreshing looking black and yellow paint scheme, called the 40 Years of GS Edition. The models are expected to launch in India closer to Christmas this year.
The new livery features generous amounts of black and gold, and yellow highlights across the knuckle guards, the seat, the tank, and other elements, and a ‘40 Years GS' badging on the side panels.
The brand also offers the motorcycles in new Racing Red, Racing Blue and Rallye paint schemes. In addition to the new colours, the motorcycles will also feature LED turn signal indicators, USB charging ports, cornering ABS, and traction control as standard.
BMW Motorrad hasn't made any changes to the heart of the machines. The motorcycles continue to feature an 853cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that arrives in two states of tune.
The engine on the BMW F 750 GS is tuned to produce 77bhp and 83Nm of torque, while the engines on the BMW F 850 GS and F 850 GS Adventure models produce 95bhp and 92Nm of torque.
Mechanically, no changes are announced on the engine and cycle parts. The same 853 cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, four-valve engine continues to power the middleweight GS models.
The motorcycles feature two balancing shafts that make the engines more smooth, enhance performance, offer instant throttle response, and better fuel efficiency.
The Pro riding modes across all three models have been remapped to offer better fuel efficiency and more sprightly performance. Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR) and Dynamic Braking Control (DBC) have now been integrated into the Pro riding mode.
Another change BMW Motorrad has made to the F 750 GS, F 850 GS, F 850 GS Adventure models is that the ABS cannot be completely turned off. This change is in sync with the Government's new homologation regulations.
BMW Motorrad intends launching the new F 750 GS, F 850 GS, F 850 GS Adventure models in Europe at some point in September, and is expected to launch the models in India closer to the end of the year.
Thoughts About The New Livery For BMW Motorrad's F 750 GS, F 850 GS, F 850 GS Adventure Models
The new livery looks absolutely alive and gives the motorcycles more oomph and character. We think BMW should experiment more with more lively colours in the future. The new motorcycles are definitely going to be a hit with the masses.
