Bajaj Pulsar NS200 BS6 Model Featured In ‘Pulsar Celebrating 18 Years Of Thrill’ TVC
Bajaj Auto has released a new television commercial titled 'Pulsar Celebrating 18 Years Of Thrill' to mark the 18th anniversary of their infamous Bajaj Pulsar. The revolutionary motorcycle was launched almost two decades ago on 24 November 2001.
The new TVC brilliantly displays how ‘thrilling' and ‘fun' the Bajaj Pulsar is, and features the soon-to-be launched Bajaj Pulsar NS200 BS6 model. The new motorcycle will be the first of multiple BS6 compliant models the company launches.
While Bajaj has been giving the NS200 minor upgrades since it was launched in 2014, the biggest upgrade comes this year in the form of a fuel-injection system. In order to reduce emissions a little more, the new NS200 will feature a redesigned catalytic converter with new oxygen and temperature sensors.
In its current BS4 compliant format, the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 features a 199.5cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 23bhp of power and 18.3Nm of torque.
The upgrade from a carburetor to a fuel-injection system will accompany a reduction in power and torque figures, by how though, remains to be seen.
The current-generation Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is priced at Rs 1.14 lakh (ex-showroom, India), and we expect the BS6 compliant model to carry a premium of roughly between Rs 8,000 and Rs 10,000.
General Trivia
The Bajaj Pulsar 150cc and 180cc were originally launched during the November of 2001. The motorcycles featured two-valve, air-cooled single-cylinder engines that produced 12bhp and 15bhp of power respectively. The highlight was the 18-litre fuel tank.
Bajaj has consistently launched more Pulsar models since then, and their current Pulsar range consists of motorcycles between 125cc and 220cc. The Pulsar range is currently available under the DTS-i Series, the NS Series, and the RS Series.
Thoughts About The New ‘Pulsar Celebrating 18 Years Of Thrill' TVC
Bajaj's new TVC is absolutely brilliant. It shows us that the Bajaj Pulsar range of motorcycles are a thrilling part of a young adult's life. The TVC also lets us know the Pulsar's target market, suggesting that the new BS6 models are good and ready to fight the KTM Duke 200, the TVS Apache RTR 200 V4, and the Yamaha FZ 25.
