Vespa Club Range Launched At Rs 72,190 — More Attractive Colours From Italy

The Vespa Club range has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 72,190 (ex-showroom, Pune). The Vespa Club range is being promoted as a more attractive variant of the Vespa LX 125.

It is powered by the same engine and shares the same mechanicals, but comes with new colours and features. Vespa has been reasonably successful in the Indian market after the brand made its re-entry in the Indian market back in 2012.

Vespa has since then sold thousands of scooters and it is holding steady in terms of sales. Vespa wasn't intended to disrupt the mainstream mass-market performers but its aim was to carve a niche of its own and that has been accomplished by the range of stylish, retro scooters sold by the Italian manufacturer.

However, for a brand to stay afloat in a competitive market, it is imperative that new products must be launched frequently and that is exactly what Vespa is doing. Vespa has launched the new Club Range and these scooters basically feature nothing more than aesthetic changes.

The Vespa Club range is available in four new attractive colours — Azzuro Provenza, Maze Grey, Glossy Yellow and Glossy Red. Adding to these attractive colours are a few components that are finished in gloss black.

The mirror housings and stalks, brake levers, grab rails and wheels are all finished in the same gloss black colour. This combined with the attractive new colours makes for great contrast and an overall brilliant styling proposition.

The Vespa Club range also sports the other features that all other Vespa models currently on sale have. This includes the provisions for buyers to install Piaggio's mobile connectivity feature. The Vespa Club range is powered by the same engine that powers the other 125cc vespa scooters.

It is an air-cooled, 125cc, single-cylinder engine with a maximum power output of 9.76bhp and a peak torque output of 10.6Nm. It offers a mileage figure of 45km/l. The Vespa Club range rides on single side arm suspension up front and a hydraulic shock absorber at the rear. Braking duties are handled by 150mm and 140mm drum brakes at the front and rear respectively.

Vespa has a range of products on sale in India that only an expert can classify or diversify. All the scooters look the same and feel the same, but the difference lies in small styling details and colours. To this mix, Vespa has now added the Club range.
