TVS XL 100 Retro-Fitment Kit Launched At Rs 11,237
Hosur based TVS Motor Company has launched a retro-fitment kit for its TVS XL 100 range of mopeds. The company has launched the product at Rs 11,237, and the kit carries an ARAI certification. TVS has launched the kit to make commuting easier for the elderly, and the differently abled.
The all new add on kit for the XL 100 range of mopeds has been designed and developed in-house by TVS Motors, and it features six mounting points for a secure fit. The fenders are built out of 16-inch gauge-sheet metal, and the frame has been designed for better control and stability even when in motion.
The light-weight design and build offers better performance than other aftermarket kits that are available in the market. The four Armstrong suspension units help keep the XL 100 stable even on bad roads. The new kit developed by TVS Motors also has space for walking sticks and crutches.
As is, the kit is available only for the XL 100, and we expect TVS to launch similar retro-fitment kits for other products in the portfolio soon.
The current-generation TVS XL 100 arrives in the Standard, the Comfort, and the Heavy Duty variants. The mopeds are powered by a 99.7cc air-cooled petrol engine that produces 4.3bhp of power and 6.5Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to an automatic transmission.
The mopeds are basic commuter two-wheeler and feature drum brakes at both ends, a maintenance free battery, an analogue speedometer, a kick start, and bulb-type turn signal indicators.
The TVS XL 100 range of mopeds features a 4.0-litre fuel tank, offer an ARAI rated mileage of 60 kilometers to a litre, and a top speed of 60 kilometers per hour. The mopeds are designed to carry a payload of 130 kilograms, and are priced between Rs 29,000 and Rs 32,000 (ex-showroom, India).
Thoughts About The Retro-Fitment Kit For The XL 100 Range Of Mopeds
Buying a well-designed kit for the XL 100 range of mopeds is a challenging task. The XL range of TVS mopeds are sought after because of their minimalistic design, light weight, and speed. Good thing that TVS has launched its own kit. This will give people the option of buying the add-on without having to lose out on warranty. We hope TVS launches other kits for the XL 100 range as well. We're sure uncle Henry would like a safe cage to deliver eggs.
