2019 Triumph Street Twin And Scrambler Launched In India; Prices Start At Rs 7.45 Lakh

Triumph Motorcycles India has launched the 2019 Street Twin & Scrambler in the market. The two motorcycle are priced at Rs 7.45 lakh and Rs 8.55 lakh.

Triumph Motorcycles India has launched the 2019 Street Twin and Scrambler in the country. The 2019 Triumph Street Twin comes with a price tag of Rs 7.45 lakh while the 2019 Triumph Scrambler is priced at Rs 8.45 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom (India).

Both motorcycles from the British brand come with significant mechanical updates compared to the previous models. Both motorcycles — 2019 Street Twin & 2019 Scrambler, come powered by the same updated 900cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. The engine on both the motorcycles now come with magnesium covers, along with a lighter clutch and crankshaft. This allows the updated engine to produce 65bhp and 80Nm of torque; an increase of 10bhp compared to the previous model. Both engines are further mated to a five-speed gearbox.

Apart from the increase in power, the torque on the two motorcycles now kicks in at 3,800rpm compared to 3,200rpm previously. The rev limit on the 2019 Street Twin and Scrambler has also increased to 7,500rpm.

The two motorcycles also come with new electronic technology such as traction control and two riding modes - Road & Rain. The suspensi on the two Triumph motorcycles is also the same; KYB 41mm front forks and KYB twin shock-absorbers at the rear with preload adjustability.

Braking on the 2019 Triumph Street Twin is handled by a single 310mm disc brake and a 220mm single disc at the rear by Brembo and Nissin. The 2019 Triumph Scrambler, on the other hand, gets a 310mm single disc at the front and a larger 255mm disc at the rear, again by Brembo and Nissin.

Other standard features on the two 2019 models: traction control, dual-channel ABS (Scrambler gets additional switchable ABS), ride-by-wire technology, LCD multi-function instrument pack, heated grips, USB charging port, Triumph-badged immobiliser and LED rear lights. Both motorcycles also get an optional Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

In terms of design, both motorcycles; Street Twin and Scrambler come with the same silhouette as compared to their respective previous models. However, there are a few updates in terms of certain details. This includes updated side panels, new graphics, new alloy wheels and new fuel tank with minimalistic badging. The headlight shell and brackets also receive brand new finishes, so does the speedometer.

Triumph Motorcycles has updated their Bonneville Street Twin and Scrambler models for the year 2019. The two models, remain mostly unchanged cosmetically, however, receive a number of updates in terms of mechanicals. The two motorcycle in India rival the likes of the Ducati Scrambler Icon, expected to be updated soon.
