Triumph Rocket 3 To Be Unveiled In India On 5th Of December: Launch Expected Soon

Triumph Motorcycles is expected to showcase the 2020 Rocket 3 motorcycle in India on 5th of December 2019. The new Triumph Rocket 3 was globally unveiled in the international markets, earlier this year. According to Autocar India, the company is now expected to unveil the bike in India, ahead of its expected launch at a later stage.

The Triumph Rocket 3 is based on an all-new platform from the British motorcycle brand. Internationally the motorcycle is offered in two variants: Rocket 3 R and Rocket 3 GT. However, Triumph is yet to confirm which variant will make to the Indian market.

The 2020 Triumph Rocket 3 is powered by the largest engine ever fitted on a mass-production motorcycle. The engine comes in the form of a 2,500cc in-line 3-cylinder liquid-cooled unit. It produces 167bhp at 6000rpm and 221Nm of torque at 4000rpm.

The engine on the 2020 Rocket 3 comes with new crankcase assembly, balancer shaft and lubrication system; all of which has helped it reduce weight significantly by 18kg. Triumph has also reduced the overall weight of the 2020 Rocket 3 by around 40kg, compared to its previous-generation model.

The Triumph Rocket 3 comes with a host of features and electronic equipment. Some of the standard features on the 2020 Rocket 3 include heated grips, torque assisted clutch, LED headlamps and taillights, extended fly-screen, adjustable footpegs, lightweight 20-spoke aluminium wheels and a host of others.

The Triumph Rocket 3 also comes with an all-new aluminium chassis, with the massive engine acting as the stressed member. Other mechanicals includes the suspension and brakes.

The suspension set-up on the Rocket 3 includes 47mm USD forks at the front and a mono-shock set-up at the rear. The front suspension comes with 120mm of travel while the rear offers 107mm of travel; both sourced from Showa.

The front suspension also comes with compression and rebound adjustability while the rear gets a remote adjuster. Braking on the Triumph Rocket 3 is handled by twin 320mm discs at the front and a single 300mm disc at the rear.

Thoughts On The Triumph Rocket 3 Unveil In India

The Triumph Rocket 3 features the largest ever engine in a mass-produced motorcycle. The Rocket 3 is offered with two variants: R and GT, with the latter being the touring-oriented model.

Triumph is expected to launch the Rocket 3 in India in the coming months, however, it is yet to be seen if the brand brings both variants to the Indian market.
