The new Royal Enfield Continental GT (and the Interceptor 650) is especially loved for its parallel-twin exhaust note. In its stock format itself, the motorcycle sounds good even though it is heavily toned-down to meet the industry norms. However, various motorcycle specialists have started developing custom exhaust systems for the new 650cc Royal Enfield models.

The new Royal Enfield '650 Twins' are powered by a 649cc air/oil-cooled parallel-twin engine that makes 47bhp and 52Nm of torque. This is further mated to a six-speed gearbox assisted by a slipper-clutch.
The 650 Twins are arguably two of the best value-for-money motorcycles available in the price bracket and showcases class-leading levels of build quality and desirability. As of now, there are no direct rivals to the parallel-twin Royal Enfields and for the same reason, they have created a market of their own.
Thoughts On The Continental GT 650's Custom Exhaust Note
Parallel-twin classic motorcycles have a charm of their own thanks to their sweet-sounding engine note. A good aftermarket exhaust bumps this up to a greater level. In a few months' time i.e. when deliveries of the 650 Twins go full-fledged, there will be more choices of custom exhausts on the market. Even Royal Enfield itself might introduce one.
