Royal Enfield 650 Twins Sales Figures Cross 2000 Units A Month

Royal Enfield seems to have some reason to celebrate. They have bad sales numbers over the last six months, and as we reported earlier, a law suit to deal with. According to GaadiWaadi, they have sold over 2,000 units of 650 Twins for the first time, in a single month since launch. That's way over the 1700 units they sold during the month of March 2019.

Both, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, and the Continental GT 650 models are powered by same 648 cc twin-cylinder fuel injected engine with 47bhp of power @ 7,250 rpm and 52Nm of torque @ 5,250 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission unit. The 650 Twins are the first motorcycles from Royal Enfield to feature a slipper clutch that is offered as a standard.

Braking duties are handled by 320mm twin-piston Bybre calipers discs at the front, and a single 240mm disc at the rear. The company also offers a dual-channel ABS for both motorcycles as a standard. The 650 Twins feature with 41 mm telescopic forks in the front, dual-suspension at the rear. The suspension is tuned for a very comfortable ride.

The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 has a simple, upright design. The motorcycle features a circular headlamp, a single piece handlebar, and an elegant looking fuel tank. The Interceptor 650 also features a single piece seat.
