Royal Enfield 650-Twins Price Hike: Upto Rs 6,400 Increase In Prices On Interceptor & Continental GT

Royal Enfield has increased prices of its flagship 650cc models in the Indian market. The Royal Enfield 650-Twins price hike varies between Rs 6,000 for the Interceptor 650 and Rs 6,400 for the Continental GT 650.

The two motorcycles are now offered with a starting price of Rs 2.56 lakh and Rs 2.71 lakh for the Interceptor and Continental GT, respectively. Both prices are ex-showroom (Delhi). The revised prices for the Royal Enfield 650-twins have already been implemented from the start of the month.

Apart from the starting price, Royal Enfield has also increased prices on the different colour options on the two 650cc models as well. Starting with the Interceptor 650 available in a range of six colour options: Mark Three, Orange Crush, Silver Spectre, Ravishing Red, Baker Express and Glitter & Dust.

The prices for the first three paint scheme remain at Rs 2.56 lakh. The Ravishing Red and Baker Express are priced slightly higher at Rs 2.64 lakh, while the Glitter & Dust (chrome) paint scheme is priced at Rs 2.76 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom (Delhi).

Similarly, the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is available in five paint schemes: Ventura Blue, Black Magic, Dr Mayhem, Ice Queen and Mister Clean.

The prices for Ventura Blue and Black Magic remains the same at Rs 2.71 lakh. The Dr Mayhem and Ice Queen paint schemes cost slightly higher at Rs 2.79 lakh, while the Mister Clean costs Rs 2.92 lakh. Again, all prices are ex-showroom (Delhi).

Both motorcycles are however powered by the same 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. It produces 47bhp and 52Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Both bikes were launched in India back in November 2018 and since then have become extremely popular offerings in the Indian market.

The Royal Enfield 650-twins are among the most affordable products in the Indian 650cc motorcycle segment. The Royal Enfield 650-twins when launched were priced lower than some of its rivals in the 300cc segment, including the likes of the KTM 390 Duke. The two motorcycle rival the likes of the Bajaj Dominar 400, Harley-Davidson Street 750 and Street Rod.
